Bhagavad Gita, Quran And Bible
This article gives a small introduction and idea about the three popular epics in the world.
Bhagavad Gita is considered as a holy epic of Hindu Religion. Hindus in this world preach this epic as a sacred one and most of the Hindus follow the rules provided in Bhagavad Gita. This literature is sometimes popularly called as Gita. This actually contains the thought provoking conversations between Lord Krishna and Arjuna. Arjuna during the Mahabharatha war (also popularly called as Kurukshethra battle) gets defeated against Lord Krishna team and receives the advices from Lord Krishna. Most of the Indian Hindu houses carry a copy of Bhagavad Gita and they keep especially in their prayer room. Totally Bhagavad Gita contains 18 chapters.
Quran is the most important religious epic for Islam Religion. This book was written in Arabic language on early ages. Muslim community people pray Quran as god directly. Unlike Hindus who pray idols as God, Muslims pray this Quran itself as god. They believe that Quran is the transfer of knowledge about this world from God to Muhammad who was considered as the founder of Islam. Each Muslim house carries a Quran mostly and they will worship god with Quran in front of them daily. Quran contains 114 chapters.
Bible is considered as the holy book for Christian community. For Judaism also Bible is considered as the holy book. Bible mainly contains the teachings based on Jesus. Basically Bible is divided into only two parts called Old Testament and New Testament. The Old Testament is mainly considered as Jewish bible and there are different parts under it. The New Testament is only considered as the Christian Bible and it is purely dedicated for Christianity. The New Testament deals with the life of Jesus and his subsequent death and resurrection incidences.
