Crocheted finger puppets will keep kids amused for hours

Start small

Let's face the truth, in hard economic times not everyone can run to a toy store and drop $50 to keep their kids amused. Luckily, crocheted finger puppets don't break easily, can be made with little skill and a few dollars worth of yarn, or even yarn scraps and can go a long way. Many patterns for crocheted finger puppets are free, can be downloaded complete with instructions, and the variety is seemingly endless as to what can be made. Little ones love crocheted finger puppets, and older kids will sneak a chance to play with them also (hide them from your husbands).

Crocheted finger puppets can be washed fairly often without losing their shapes, so keeping germs off the finger puppets is relatively simple, even with kids involved. It is not too difficult to make an entire community of crocheted finger puppets, and it really gives younger children a chance to expand their imaginations. Most of the following patterns for free crocheted finger puppets are designed for crafters with beginning to intermediate skills, and can be completed in 30 minutes or less.
