- Limited shape, they are only available in rectangular shape unlike Stainless where you are spoil t for choice in terms of shape.
- Granite sinks are more expensive to install
- They are heavy which means that then need a strong support structure
- Granite sinks are more susceptible to stains unlike the Stainless steel sinks
- They can chip with time which means that you will have to apply a sealant regularly to fill any gaps this will push up your costs.
- When dishes fall accidentally into the sink they will break which can push up your spending crockery dishes.
Stainless Steel sinks are affordable and that explains why most homeowners prefer to install them in their homes. They are made of Stainless Steel as their name suggests. They are more popular in modern houses. The following are some of the reasons why most people prefer Stainless Steel sinks today.
Advantages
- They are affordable and easy to install
- They can easily be replaced
- They don't crack or break which makes them durable
- They are low maintenance and they don't stain like the Granite sinks do
- They can in different shapes and sizes which give you a chance to make a choice on the shape and size
Disadvantages
- The type that has a thinner gauge will dent easily
- They don't offer any option when it comes to color.
