The violent events from the past have remained imprinted in the places where they happened. Even if ghosts are haunting these places or they are just echoes of those times, a things is certain: really weird things are happening...

Most Haunted Places

Dissatisfied human souls in the form of invisible spirits haunt the places of occurrence of their immature deaths – murdered or unjustifiably sentenced to death – and frighten people with their strange manifestations. All over the world, there are historic places including castles, hotels, palaces, towers and tunnels that are marked with habitations of spirits observed by international visitors to these venues; of them, here are a brief description of five. These are amongst the most haunted places.

The London Tower

Since the wife of Henry VIII was executed beheading her in 1536, the history of this tower of about a decade observed many murders, massacres and executions, that resulted in the emergence of dissatisfied spirits infesting the tower, and frightening the visitors at dead of nights with a multitude of peculiar audio-visual ghostly signals!

The Ship Queen Mary

In California, the year 1967 saw the establishment of a hotel founded on the wreckage of the famous ship Queen Mary, wherein fights and fires had broken out killing some crews and boarders including children. Quite often, dissatisfied spirits emanated from ungratified souls create peculiar noises and knockings that scare the visitors making them panicky!

Catacombs of Paris

As an extension of space of the town cemeteries, a network of underground tunnels called catacombs was established in Paris in 1700, that has since been receiving innumerable mortal remains of people, murdered or executed unjustifiably to death. Strange manifestations of spirits were observed many times by the visitors to these tunnels.

The Edinburgh Castle

This historic castle of Scotland, parts of which were constructed about 900 years ago, has an old prison where deaths occurred in large numbers, many of which were unnatural and immature giving rise to spirits creating flurry of visual glimpses.

Eastern State Penitentiary, Pennsylvania

It is said that prisoners seven times more of its capacity were kept in this prison established in 1829. Because of over population, prisoners were under extreme stress and strain causing unnatural deaths. This prison also earned fame as the venue of imprisonment of the notorious gangster leader Al Capone! Strange audio-visual manifestations of spirits were observed in this prison by the visitors.

Conclusion

Whether one believes it or not, one cannot escape the reality that spirits and ghosts exist evidencing their manifestations in many peculiar ways causing frights to people particularly at dead of nights! They will remain as such till scopes emerge for them to escape from this plane and rise to a higher one where they will find solace and eternal peace. The most hunted places in the world await those who dear visiting them…

Hello Sava ... I can add another castle to your list. Berry Pomeroy in Devonshire, England. It is reputed to be THE most haunted place in Britain (six miles from my home in Torbay)

I'm also an avid reader of ghost stories. To those you mention, may I also add the Borley Rectory, reputed to be the most haunted house in England.
