Google and accessibility is a long history of love and the company has proved it once again by deploying several features that affect the Google+ Hangouts, which are primarily the hearing and, by extension, all people who suffer from hearing disorders
Google+ Hangouts
Two very useful features which should ultimately facilitate interactions between users of the social network. Yes if you want to know more, well we will know exactly be interested in these news a little lower in the article.
But before going further, it may be recalled that this is not the first time Google made a gesture towards the deaf. Some time ago, the company had designed a new application for Hangouts which allowed just a translator to transcribe directly and verbatim comments made by participants, an application called Captions and you can also found at this address.
However, the company has decided to go a step further by developing another application that touches this time sign language. The operation of the latter is rather simple since it will allow users to use the services of an experienced translator who will always remain on the screen and translate live all that is said in the lounge. With the latter, the hearing will actively participate in the conversation and interact with other users of the service in peace. The trick, however, is that Google will not provide the translator in question and will have to find yourself the expert and the invite to join our video conference.
Not bad, of course, but note however, that this application is currently being deployed on our accounts and it will probably take a few days or weeks before they can enjoy.
