Have you ever experienced losing your data folders in your flash drive? Have you seen file folders that changed to shortcuts with the same file name but has .exe extension? It happens when you connect your flash drive to a PC that is not protected against computer virus attack.
Don't Worry!
I understand if you panic as you might have important files and documents saved. I would even feel and react the same way if I lose my music, videos, images and other files. Your files are still there but are not visible. They were just hidden by a virus. The "Show Hidden Files" option will not help you.
Now you no longer have to worry as there is a simple way to recover them. You need an application called USB Show.
USB Show can also be used to recover files from hard drive. The recovery time will vary by disk size. It is a very simple tool with user friendly interface.
I haven’t mentioned the best part yet. This utility software is downloadable online for free.
USB Show
Software Name: USB Show
Publisher: Red MX
Version: 1.0.0
License: Freeware
Price: 0.00
File Size: 108.75 KB
OS: Windows 2K / XP / 2003 / Vista
Download USB Show For Free!
1. Download the USB Show from here.
2. Open the Zip file.
3. Run USB Show.exe by double-clicking it.
Recover the Hidden Files
4. Specify your language. (options are Spanish and English only).
5. Click “Recover the Hidden Files.”
Recovering......
6. Locate the specific drive from the pop-up window.
7. Wait until it finishes the recovery. (waiting time may depend on disk size)
Done!
8. Click OK.
9. Close the tool.
10. Open the drive and you’re good to go.
USB Show however is not an anti-virus. It will just show you the hidden files or folder. You still need to perform a virus scan after the recovery or you may consider reformatting the drive to make it as good as new. Don't forget to back up your files before doing a complete reformat. Reformatting is as simple as going to My Computer ,right-clicking on the drive and hitting Format.
I wish it helps!

Dear Cowboy: This is all "high-tech" to me. If I had hidden or files that needed recovering which were hidden by a virus from my flash drive, honestly, I would rather not know. Thank you. I appreciate your knowledge.
