Bugg is not having a good morning
Bugg was kind of in a slump. Bugg was moping around the house. Bugg and I went out on the front porch to see if any of his friends were outside and that didn't even seem to make Bugg happy.
I was worried about my guy. Bugg is usually ready to go and moping is just not part of his existence.
I decided since the porch was not making Bugg happy, then I was going to take Bugg out back to play.
Just maybe if Bugg played in his playground for awhile, he would cheer up.
Bugg and I went outside. We played a bit of the Alabama frizzbie game. Bugg chased his Alabama frizzbie. I thought to myself, this just might do the trick.
Bugg was playing but
But after a few tosses of the Alabama Frizzbie, I could tell, Bugg's heart was just not into it.
Bugg sets his frizzbie down.
yep, Bugg was tired of playing.
I had no clue why Bugg stopped playing so soon. I mean, Bugg usually loves to play his Alabama frizzbie game.
I decided to sit down and rest
As I sat, Bugg roamed around the yard for a few minutes.
Bugg was still moping.
Bugg walked over to where I was sitting and fell down on the ground. Bugg started to roll around in the grass.
I was happy. I thought, maybe Bugg was okay, he just might be missing his friend, Mr. Squirrel. I tried to explain to Bugg that it is too cold for Mr. Squirrel to come out to play.
Bugg didn't seem to like my explanation.
After a few rolls around in the grass.
Bugg laid his head on the ground.
Bugg was still not happy. I just did not know what to do. I just can not make Bugg happy.
I bent down, rubbed his head, in the hopes I would lift his spirits but, it didn't help.
I sat there and thought, what is it that is making Bugg so sad?
Then I remembered
I promised Bugg I would make him some Christmas treats treats today.
Bugg loves to give and he wants to make sure all his doggie presents are ready for him to deliver to his doggie pals before Christmas gets here. Also, Santa will need his biscuits set out. Bugg and I go inside.
I told Uncle Billy that I was going to make Bugg's treats, so Bugg will be able to share them with his friends. Uncle Billy loves Bugg and he knows if I make Bugg his biscuits, it will make Bugg happy again so, Uncle Billy happily takes Bugg out on the front porch..
Making of the dog biscuits
To make Buggs Christmas dog treats.
You will need...
Max's dog biscuit recipe
1/2 cups brown rice flour (added to Max's dog biscuits recipe)
1 1/2 teaspoon honey
2 teaspoons warm water
After you have made the dough
Press all the dough in a 13x9 cake pan. Even as possible. Take your dog bone cookie cutter and start cutting out your biscuits. When the cookie cutter reaches the bottom of your cake pan, move it back and fourth gently and they will release.
When you have punched out the first round of biscuits. Push the dough to one side of the pan. Press the dough, flatten to 1 1/2 inches thickness and repeat. Until all the dough is used up.
Lay the biscuits on a cookie sheet or a oven proof pan will work just fine. Bake at 450 degrees, for 20 minutes. Place on a cooling rack, after each batch.
Of course Bugg had to make sure I was doing them right.
Add the honey
Turn your oven temperature down to 200 degrees.
Add your honey to warm water, stir.
Brush your honey mixture on the dog biscuits.
Place in a single layer on a cookie sheet and place your buiscuits back in the oven for 5 minutes.
After 5 minutes.
Turn the oven off. Leave your dog biscuits in the oven.
30 minutes later, take the biscuits out of the oven.
Allow them biscuits to cool for a few minutes and then package them as desired.
Bugg is ready for Santa
Now Bugg is happy, treats are made for Bugg's friends that live next door. Also, the package of nuts for Mr. Squirrel and his friends are ready. Bugg's thank you note to Santa has been written.
All Bugg has to do is leave a few doggie biscuits for Santa Doggie. Yes, Bugg insists that Santa is a dog and as we all know,
It's a Bugg's world!
It's still a Buggs world
Not the end of Bugg's world...Just the end of a Bugg day.
