This poem is a tribute to the first of the water signs, Cancer

Ode to Cancer

Your emotions flood
Throughout your blood
And in your brain
As far away as Spain.

You're the great mother
Not just to your brother
But to all others
As well.

You teach me to feel
And your love will heal
Each and every pain
That is lain
Upon me.

Your voice is soft
Your touch is sweet
You send me aloft
You free me from retreat.

Your gentle care
Is a breath of fresh air
Come my love
And take me there.

Lovely lady of the moon
Wrap me in a soothing swoon
Hold me tight to your breast
Where your light forever rests.

Very nice! I had never thought of poetry as a way to educate people about the essence of the astrological signs, but it works. Great job!

My husband is a Cancer as well, he too is my best friend and a gentle soul, unless he feels the need to "pinch" because that hurts ouch. :) (leo-fire/cancer- water) steamy :)

The Cancer claw can indeed hurt when it pinches. Good at pushing buttons - but soft and gentle people most of the time. Thanks for commenting, MAnature.
