Dalchini (Cinnamon) - 2 inch piece
Lavang (Cloves) - 4

Coriander leaves for garnishing

Method :
Cook soaked Chole with Salt as per taste and bay leaves.Keep aside.

Dry fry the whole masalas, remove from the flame and add the powders (except Aamchur) to the pan which is still hot. Allow it to cool & grind the whole in to fine powder.

Heat oil in a pan , fry onions till brown. Add finely chopped Ginger (you can add 3-4 cloves of garlic if you like). then add tomato puree and stir till the oil seperates. Now add the powdered masalas and stir for two minutes. Now add the cooked chole to the mixture(You can water if required as per the thickness of the gravy). Add Aamchur powder, cover the pan and let it cook in slow flame for 5 minutes.

Delicious Punjabi Chole is ready.... Garnish with coriander leaves & onion slices
