Method of growing beans and peas for people with limited garden space.

The Bean Tent.

A simple way of growing beans in gardens with little space.

First of all dig a hole in the garden about two feet in depth. Then place an eight foot pole into the hole which should be about 3 inch square in thickness. Fill the hole back in with the soil you had taken out, firm the area by stamping down with your feet.

Next attatch 16 lengths of garden twine to the top of the pole all of which should be the same length of 12 feet. Then tie 16 tent pegs on to the loose ends of the twine and hammer the pegs into the soil making sure that the twine is tight.

When you are happy that the structure is secure, plant two beans next to each tent peg. Then water and wait. You can plant any sort of climbing bean like French, Runner or Broad bean or even garden peas. When the beans are ready for picking it is then easy to go inside the tent and help your self.

Warning :- " This sort of tent is of no use for camping as there is no ground sheet ! ".
