Thank you for reading and commenting Denise and Princess. From looking over some of the articles that have already been entered in the challenge, the title is a little misleading because the article can be on anything related to home improvement. Any related article would qualify i.e. an article on how to find a good landscaper would even qualify. The articles do not have to be a DIY article at all.

Thank you, Cowboy. I actually wrote this article for Factoidz.Com where I am a Feature Writer but the owner of the site pulled the article within minutes of my having published it there, claiming that I was using my status as a Feature Writer to promote a competitor;s site. That really ticked me off because I had written articles on photo contests and writing contests in the past with no complaint from him. Anyway, since it was already written, I published it here on Wikinut.

Thanks for the info - but the only way I could write a good home improvement article is to copy one of yours!!!
And that's plagiarism - isn't it! hahaha!

The "Flair", as you call it, Buzz, comes from some forty years of writing experience. Besides that, every writer has genres that are his or her fortes as well as his or her foibles and the good writer knows what they are. For example, I would no more attempt to write a poem than many of our Wikinut poets would attempt to write a home improvements article.
