Some reported UFO sightings in Texas over the past 100 years

UFO sightings in Texas

Texas is a big state, known for lots of things, and UFO sightings are up there on the list. Reports of UFO sightings in Texas have been reported back to the late 1800's, before the term UFO was even known.

So let's start with 1897. According to newspaper reports from then, in the morning hours on April 19th, something had crashed into the local windmill. The crashed drew a crowd and after residents searched the wreckage they found little corpses laying around and a very strange object. The object had, what looked like writings and etchings of a different language on it. People in that time era had no idea what an alien or UFO was, headlines reported that a space creature had crashed, people of town buried the creatures with a single headstone near the sight. To this day UFO researchers have been to the sight numerous times wanting to start digging near the sight of where the crashed had been reported. No one has had any luck as the sight lays on private property and the owners will never comply.

Lubbock, Texas 1951. A young college student sees lights that repeatedly fly around over the city. Witnesses included professors from Texas Tech University and they were supposedly photographed by a Texas Tech student.

Temple, Texas 1972. A local Temple resident recalls seeing a square, metallic object hovering around 30,000 feet above him, the man reported that the object just hung there in the sky, then a bright light passed over his home, westbound at a great height with no sound, and at a high speed.

Azle, Texas 1981. A man from Azle named Ronnie reported to authorities that he saw a large tube shaped object with several multi-colored lights that seem to be flashing in a sequence. It was seen hovering over a empty field quite a distance away. After hovering for awhile it took off behind the car he was sitting in. It hovered over the street right behind him.

Conroe, Texas, 1998. A mother and daughter out in their yard at night, reported seeing a disc shaped object float over their street and hover in a field behind their house. The mother recalls that the strangest thing about it was that it hovering and it being very strangely quiet, there was no sound coming from the object at all. They recall watching it for a long time, their eyes caught sight of a small bright red point of light steadily moving across the sky from one end of the horizon to the other, above the trees in the yard, across the field and towards the craft. As it approached the craft, they noticed another red light coming from the opposite direction, one light, then two, then three, then four, and all of a sudden, it disappeared into nothing.

These are just a few reported UFO sightings in the state of Texas, there are hundreds documented all over the state.

On most any clear night you can lie under the Texas sky and see UFOs.
