The soul-artist asked me to gather together 4 or 5 photos of my husband, Jamie, and when I had done that, he informed me that “his” work would show the accumulation of every vision and tenure Jamie would experience and his Auric response to each one – accumulated! – Uthrania Seila Sentana-Ries Cortez

MY FAMILY (Part 1): SOUL-ARTIST ASSISTED PAINTING by Uthrania Seila Sentana-Ries Cortez

On this day we now have a brand new painting one day from the finish line completed by a soul-artist who blends his colours distinctly, without lines, save that of his “signature.” Without lines simply means he does not work with straight lines at all without “blurring them” or “mixing” in some way.

Working with this particular soul-artist who did of his own accord offer his assistance and expertise, began in a far different way, and because of this difference in methodology in working with myself, this painting actually took a span (with very little done, most days) from the 2nd of July 2015 to the 15th of July 2015, though he insisted I place “June 2015” on the upper right-hand corner of the Auric painting. Several days we did nothing. What then was different? This soul-artist did not move his energy through my arms and hands but rather encompassed me in an energy bubble, directing me, shall we say, with his shoulders and torso. During this time I was given instructions, and I must admit I was very reluctant to even begin the actual painting after doing the background also in this way.

The background itself consists of ten different colours, which, very intricately, for the seasoned painter, is known but can be rarely detected by ones such as myself, somewhat illiterate in the process of paintings. Still, for some reason I am still not clear on, this provision was necessary. The bulk of the conversation have I recorded below. I leave the rest up to you, the viewers, to decipher.

This special Tribute do I present to my own husband, Jamie, who has always been there for me, gently advising, always supporting, and correcting my English grammar whenever it was, I, myself, who had taken to the pen to write of mine own accord. To my husband do I thank for much more …therein lies before him and the viewers my heartfelt: “Token of Appreciation.” - Uthrania Seila Sentana-Ries Cortez

Soul-Artist On The Scene - A Word To Jamie Who Studies, Contemplates, And Observes, Quietly

July 2, 2013

My husband, I, with good grace fortune myself in finally presenting to you my “labour of love” toward all you have shown me since the very beginning of time. I have kept record in a much simple fashion for the unlikely absence of those who may have duties elsewhere. Toward your pleasure, may I take it upon myself to now proceed?

My husband, may I then present to you my painting as guided and instructed by a soul-artist. All I could see was he had brown hair, was probably in his late 20’s or somewhere in his early 30’s and smoked. He jibed me all the time and it really did sound kind of funny.

He would stand aloft or sit, I was not sure, and all I heard was his voice as he spoke at times over my shoulder and then moved away to park himself elsewhere. He called himself the “young Rembrandt.”

The soul-artist would say: “I work with browns and roses and my trademark is at least two yellow streaks across the painting near the bottom." He said: “take the tiny brush, now dip the tip into the brightest yellow paint. That’s right. Now, (when I was going over to the painting) come over here with the brush! Next I dip it in bronze … just lightly now and do not cover up the yellow, that is my highlight. Good. Now take the tip of the brush and tip it slightly sideways and gently, I said gently! (Yikes!) dip it …just a tip into the brown.” (Whew)

“Always have your brush wet with paint. You don’t remember much of what I taught you, do you?”

(I remained quiet because I do not even remember the essence of this particular soul-artist).

Exhibit (One): Soul-Artist On The Scene

“What are you painting anyway?”

Uthrania: I told you. My Family.

“I mean now.”

Uthrania:
The background as directed by you.

“You are making a mess.”

Uthrania: A mess?

“What is this background of anyway?”

Uthrania: The Philippines.

“No wonder it’s a mess.”

Uthrania:
You chose the colours and the style. I am just doing as you instruct me. So it is your mess!

“Well, we will stop for tonight. I’m tired and the light is getting bad. Get some more browns and greens and we will attempt palm trees next. Good God.”

Uthrania:
When this is all finished, I will send it over to Jamie and this writeup and surprise him!

“You are making a mess and ruining my reputation!”

Uthrania: I do not even know who you are!

“My saving grace. Out.” Signed Joystick Ramses

Exhibit (Two): The Background Is Done And The Painting Is Begun

Uthrania: When I had finished the background I reminded the soul-artist that he had told me this would be completed in 20 minutes, but it took an hour and twenty minutes. He then replied to me: “No wonder with you painting. You are terrible!”

(Time passed)

“Do you have enough browns and greens?”

Uthrania: I have only one green, I think, and no browns.

“So much for the palm trees!”

Uthrania:
How about we make the palm trees pink and silver? That would look nice!

“Pink and silver? Now I’ve heard everything. ”

Uthrania: Well, why not? Can’t we be different?

“Ah, a contraction! Good for you! And what would you have the leaves, paisley?”

Uthrania:
That is not even funny.

Exhibit (Three): The Trademark And "The Aura Begun"

July 3, 2015 (next day)

Uthrania: How about we turn the canvas sideways?

“That looks stupid.”

Uthrania:
It does not. It looks good.

“No it does not. My yellow streaks are going downward sideways instead of at the bottom of the canvas.”

Uthrania:
Does it matter?

“Of course it matters. That is my ‘trademark!”

Uthrania:
Well, I thought it might be better to draw the profile that way. Do you need a pencil? I have two carpenter pencils here that I brought last night.

“I don’t use pencils. I paint.”

Uthrania: But I would need a pencil.

“You’re not drawing the profile. I am painting it. You are doing nothing more under my direction."

Uthrania: Why?

“Because you make a mess. Do you have a picture…a photo?”

Uthrania: Why do you need a photo? I thought you were an artist?

“Because I work with what is in your mind and in your case there is very little.”

Uthrania: (I almost burst out laughing. Smiles) You are not married are you?

“I am dead.”

Uthrania: I can imagine that. There is no death, you know.

“But ‘I’ am dead and have been for centuries.”

Uthrania: I can believe that too. You sound out of touch with everything. By the way, it is unlikely that you even know how much time has passed. Do you need assistance in moving on?

“No. But thank you anyway, Uthrania. Why do you ask? That is kind of you after I have been …to you.. oh,well. Why though? I am fine where I am for now.”

Uthrania: Why? Oh, I just thought I could get rid of you. (Grin)

(Chokes) Well, let us get on with the work shall we, honey bun?”

Uthrania: (I make a ‘strong’ grimace!) I do not appreciate that coming from you!

“Uh, sorry. Turn the canvas sideways, please.”

Uthrania: Fine.

“See you, lady, shortly, Ma’am

Uthrania: I am sure even that will be too soon.

“(Grimaces)”

Exhibit (Four): BACK TO THE PAIN-TING

Uthrania: Are you there?

“Just hold on, please, sir.”

Uthrania: Don’t you make a mess of it.

“You just take a deep breath and keep your hands off it and it will turn out just fine.”

Uthrania:
It better.

“Give me ten more.”

Uthrania:
You have no time there.

“Doesn’t matter. I still ten of yours.”
(Notation: The soul-artist pronounced "steal" as "still." - Uthrania)

Uthrania: Go ahead Rembrandt.

“You might laugh on the other side of your mouth.”

Uthrania: I doubt it. (Waiting)

“If it turns out a mess it’s your fault.”

Uthrania: Fine.

“Ready?”

Uthrania: It is not ten minutes.

“Doesn’t matter. There is no time here and I am tired of waiting. (Grins)”

Exhibit (Five): Painting On The Board

(A few minutes later)

“Get the paper out of the pallet!”

Uthrania: Oh, I am sorry.

“You are not even ready!”

Uthrania:
Sorry, I said. I am putting in a new one.

“You were not even ready!”

Uthrania: I am now ready! Shut up!

OUT WHILE THE PAINTING PROCEEDS. I HOPE. (Qualms)

Uthrania: Why is Jamie’s hair such a mess?

“There is ‘nothing’ about myself that is regimented. Nor about him either.”

Uthrania: Well, that is almost right.

“As you may notice, dear, I do not like lines.”

Uthrania:
You had better make this look good. Not just Jamie, but the entire picture!

Exhibit (Six): Aura All Over Jamie's Facial Features As "The Visions" Appear

June 9 2015 3:44 pm

Uthrania:
Why do you have to put the aura all over the face? Why can’t you do it like the other artists have done! Their aura’s look nice.

“Because he is a special man.”

Uthrania:
You are making him look awful.

“I am not finished yet.”

Exhibit (Seven): The Impact Of The Visions Upon The Man

At this point, the soul-artist left me to muse his last stroke of the brush. A little blue here, some white and blue, a little orange, and a satisfying sigh and the work was finally done! - Uthrania Seila Sentana-Ries Cortez

My Husband - My King!

Nearing the fourth segment of the painting, the soul-artist had picked out this instrumental and asked me to play it on the computer. This I did. The next day, however, saw me with complete silence once again. I have placed the "piece" here, my husband, as you are so lovingly coordinated on the guitar yourself, notwithstanding that your knowledge of classical piano of days gone back has excelled in its own right. - Uthrania Seila Sentana-Ries Cortez

Thank you, our good friend, Nancy Czerwinski! You know, I worked quietly on this page because I wanted to gift Jamie with a surprise.

I did briefly mention that I was working on a "special" page, and my husband looked at me with that knowing expression of his.

He said: "Well, if you are doing something with me in it, love, then please do NOT give me too many acclamations. Please! I don't want that."

I just nodded and understood what my quiet husband wanted, but "this time" I did not listen. Therein, I did exactly what I intended in order to express to him my sentiments toward the wonderful man and husband he is to me!

Hence, I present: The Tribute and a lot more!

(Notation: In Exhibit 7, you, the viewers, will notice that there is a golden ray which stands out on its own away from the head. Though many shots with the camera from different "lighting" positions were taken that "Auric" portion continued to elevate itself from the rest of the "Auras." However, in the painting, itself, the golden paint blends right in no matter how you look at it.
