Fifteen-minute fashion is more than a fantasy when you know how to put it to work!!!

The Easy Way...

The first step is to have a few essential clothing items in your closet and in your bathroom. This will make the morning go much more smoothly for you, especially if you haven’t had your coffee yet. Not fashion-savvy? Well, just take these tips from the fashion police to make things easier (easier but still fabulous!).

1. Determine Your Body Shape. This is essential in finding the right clothing to fit your body and highlight those gorgeous areas you want to show off to the world. Are you an apple (heavier on top), a pear (heavier on the bottom), an hourglass (curvy with a defined waist), or rectangle (pretty much the same all over)? Once you figure out what shape you are, you can choose clothes that hide problem areas and promote your features.

2. The Right Jeans. We’re not talking your favorite pair necessarily, but they could be. The right jeans for you will make you look and feel good. Check online for guides on how to buy the right shape for your body. .

3. The Baby Doll Dress. Everyone is wearing this recycled trend! This dress looks great on just about anyone, including those carrying a little extra baggage. This versatile piece can be worn to work or just around the house. It’s free-flowing and comfortable but still looks great.

4. The Black Pump. Whether you go for the pointiest toe you can find or a more rounded version, this fashion classic can dress up any outfit in a flash. If you’re wearing jeans or an evening gown or anything in between, this vital accessory will add the finishing touch.

5. The Peasant Skirt. This is a fashion essential. You can wear it absolutely anywhere and look good doing it. The trick is to find a simple pattern that is eye-catching but not gaudy.

6. The Tie-Neck Blouse. This is an easy one. A tie-neck blouse adds sophistication and pizzazz to any pants or skirts, and you need minimal accessorizing to finish the outfit. Enough said.

7. The Wide Belt. This accessory can play up any outfit, but it also can play up any body. It cinches the waist, making even the slightly chubby look thinner. And who doesn’t want to look good?

8. The Ribbed Sweater. The ribbed sweater comes in so many shapes, colors, and materials, it is impossible to run out of options. This is another versatile piece that can be dressed up or dressed down, depending on what your day holds. You can go from wearing this sweater with a skirt at the office to wearing it with jeans to go out with the girls after work.

9. The Make-Up. This can be a touchy subject for a lot of people. We have those who wear every product they own to those who have “no time” for such frivolities. Make-up can be your friend. If you have a couple basic items, you can look perfected in less than 5 minutes. Try this: apply foundation for a flawless palette. This evens out skin tone and covers any imperfections. Next, apply a volume-pumping mascara to give your lashes a lift. Finish off the look with some lip gloss or even lipstick, whichever you’re more comfortable using.

10. The Crowning Touch. A good hairstyle is so important in looking good, no matter what you’re wearing. Get a cut you enjoy and are willing to spend the time maintaining. Whether you have a pixie cut or long flowing locks and do nothing with what you have, you’ll look like you’ve done nothing. One tried-and-true method I’ve found to improve my medium-length hair’s appearance is running a large curling iron over it and curling it at the ends. This smoothes the hair, reduces fly-aways, and adds shine and structure (in about 3 minutes).
