A gift, hand stitched, attached, patched and etched to my heart......

What I gifted 20 years back still remains as a valuable possession....

Wedding anniversary.....

Coming wedding anniversary being our 30th one, I remembered about our 10th anniversary and me wondering what to give to my dearest hubby. Finally I couldn't go out for purchase which I seldom do. Gifts, I find happiness in making them self as buying anybody can do. There was a piece of full voile cloth left that too, his favourite colour.

Started making the gift....

Without wasting a minute I started copying a floral design and started doing hand embroidery with the threads I already had. Then attached a net cloth as a lining in running stitches. Suddenly reminded About a group of dancing dolls hand in hand encircled which will make you sing ring-a ring-a roses....had seen it long back in a book. Went in search of crochet thread and had to be satisfied with a blue colour wool slightly thicker but went ahead with my idea.

Dancing dolls....

Altogether they are eight....holding there hands, surrounding my embroidered flowers and the most important thing my husbands signature in bold letters and the stylish one....first one as he is known by that and the other his original signature. I stitched the entire thing with hand and while doing the signature part I had a feeling that it was being etched with a quill in my heart. That's why it is still in my collection as well as in my memory.....
