Three of my paintings that were on display at a winerly in West Kelowna called Little Straw. It was exciting to see them up and I loved hearing and seeing people's reactions to them. Friends support too!

Gallery Show

The Paintings You see are:
Warm Blend
Moon (in another wikinut page!)
Crimson Crash (in anothe wikinut page!)

I drove to an art show. It was an hour and ten minutes.
Three wonderful friends surprised me by showing up. Unexpected. That's what makes them so wonderful. We spent the afternoon enjoying artwork, listening to live music and sipping on local wines. A delightful afternoon.

I had dropped off 5 paintings the week before and the way they were displayed made me feel very proud. The enthusiasm my friends showed for my work was so touching for me. My own personal cheerleaders! What a treat!

Warm Blend is one of my favourites. It hangs in my house by my fireplace. Even when the fire is not going, I feel the warmth of this painting.

How Did I Paint it?
It's been done without the use of brushes. Just acrylic, gels and a spatulas. It was a lot of fun to create. It was fast work as the gel I used was quick drying. I put orange, red, yellow and a bit of black on the canvas and threw in gel. Using the spatula, I spread and mixed as I went. The painting had no orderly pattern to it. I just went where the colour wanted me to. I love the end result... risk taking at its best! Where there is no wrong answer.
