This is an oil painting inspired by my neice Lily and nephew Jax. It is meant to be a loving hug between two young siblings, looking at the stars dreaming together.

Stars on a Beach

Lily and Jax.
Little children have such big beautiful hearts. My neice was 3 and my nephew 1 when I painted this. She adored her little brother. She still does, though they do fight a bit more now that he can talk (2 years later!)

Young children inspire me. They are so content with the here and now. They see the good in people and each other. It amazes me to see how intuned they can be with adults. How they know when you need a hug or sage advice such as, 'Don't cry.' with a smile and a pat.

How that small gesture from a hand with playdough and smile with an orange mustache can make my heart sing.

When I look at my sister, Aleese and her husband, Robert raising these two young people, I am in awe. They are already doing such an incredible job.

Shaping caring, loving little people. I am so blessed to have them in my family. Both the little people, and the big.
