If you liked salads such as green, potato and chicken, then you may find Ceasar salad appetizing. From its adjective name “Caesar” which means cutting, the salad consists of cut romaine lettuce leaves into square shaped pieces is best served fresh and eaten as a starter. Here is a recipe that is easy to follow.

Add a crunchy and sweet and cheesey tasting Caesar salad to your dinner

The culinary world named and credited it after the salad’s inventor - Italian immigrant, Caesar Cardini, an Italian, Mexican, American restaurant operator 1. It’s easy to prepare and you can make with just a few ingredients, but of course you can add more if you like more garnishing and mixtures. Just try to be careful in using dressing, since if its more than enough, you may find the salad too oily and unappetizing.
Ingredients:
• 2 bowls of washed romaine lettuce with its stalks removed
• 2 small ladles of Caesar salad dressing
• 1 cup of Croutons
• 1 small cup of grated parmesan or cheddar cheese dressing
• Salt and pepper
• 2 to 5 thinly sliced chicken breasts.
• 2 boiled and thinly sliced chicken eggs

Procedure:
1. Firstly, make sure to wash romaine lettuce carefully, since they might harbor insect larvae (although this is very rare depending on your supplier and the lettuce origins). If you are going to make ceasar salad in large quantities for catering and find manual cleaning time consuming, prepare a bucket of water and delute small quantities of vinegar. You may try commercial vegetable cleaning tablets.
2. Cut each leaves horizontally until they are all square in shape. Remove its stalks, but leave the crunchy leaves.
3. Place the leaves in the bowl and mix with 2 ladles of dressing (I’ll provide the recipe in my next article). Mix until you coat all the leaves.
4. Sprinkle with croutons (small and diced toasted bread) and grated parmesan or cheedar cheese)
5. Add the chicken breasts and season with salt and pepper.
6. Arrange the mixture in the deep bowl, garnish the top with parmesan or cheedar cheese shavings.
7. Add the boiled egg slices and arrange them in circular fashion. Repeat the same with croutons.
8. Serve with soup or your main course such as pasta or sandwich. Enjoy the sweet, sour and crunchy ceasar salad eating experience.

Notes:
• Croutons are toasted and diced bread. They might be made from whole wheat or rye sliced bread. You can make them tastier by mixing them with butter and chopped thyme and also by heating them in the convection oven until crunchy.
• Ceasar salad dressings – are a mixture of mustard sauce, mayonnaise, chopped garlic, olive oil and parmesan cheese.
• Additional ingredients and variety: You can add anchovies for more salty and fishy taste or remove chicken if your diet forbids it or have allergies. If you are a vegetarian or vegan, you might skip chicken and eggs and replace them with mock chicken meat or eggs. And you can find vegetarian mayonnaise
• The ingredients are just approximate and might not be accurate. It depends upon your requirements.
• Numerous versions of Caesar salad exist and you can try different ingredients to make different versions of Caesar salad.
