Mr S Devarajan is a silent person. Though he looks very simple, he is a versatile artist who can draw portraits, amuse you with his mimicry, and write with both hands.

Devarajan and his way of expression of love and affection by art work

Mr S Devarajan is a Civil Engineer who worked at Indira Gandhi Center for Atomic Research (IGCAR), Kalpakkam and retired in the year 2004.

Mr S Devarajan is known as SDR. He is a multifaceted artist who can write with both the hands (that means he is ambidextrous in calligraphy), and he is also adept in mirror writing.

Mirror writing is a technique of backward writing that forms a mirror image of normal writing.

SDR is also a mimicry artist who can imitate the voices of many renowned Indian leaders and personalities.

Mother Teresa, Mahatma Gandhi and a happy new Year

SDR's portrait of Mother Teresa was published on the back cover of "Kalpakkam Calling". In fact that image of Mother Teresa made a lasting impression on my mind and I was inspired to read about her later on to know her great service to humanity.

With that kind of inspiration I have been writing about Mother Teresa in the series of articles titled "Mother Teresa - Her life as a Poem".

As I thought of including the portrait of Mother Teresa drawn by Mr Devarajan in one of the forthcoming pages,

With an idea of including in my Wikinut pages, I requested Mr Devarajan to send me a copy of the portrait of Mother Teresa drawn by him. As he could not lay his hands on the art work that he did so many years back, he has sent me a portrait of Mahatma Gandhi with the new year greetings.

I felt so happy to receive such a wonderful portrait with the new year wishes.

With this magnificent portrait of Mahatma Gandhi by SDR, I am wishing all the Wikinut friends a very happy, prosperous and peaceful NEW YEAR 2013.

We are waiting for that portrait of Mother Teresa by Mr. S. Devarajan. Hurry him. Thank you for introducing him here, and also please include links to his works. If he is too reluctant to go online, compel him. Happy new year to you dear Rathnashikamani.

Wow, that was so nice of you PSRC.

Today I've talked to SDR and when I asked him to send me some more of his artwork.

He said that he would be sending some of his recent sketches which I will be including in my Wikinut pages.

As you suggested I'll ask him to go online.
