Asian Stir Fried Beef Over Rice

Here is a quick, easy to prepare, Asian inspired, stir fry dish that is has a nice taste to it. You should be able to prepare the entire dish in less than a half hour.

Asian Stir Fried Beef Over Rice

Here is a nice, easy stirfry that is easy to do and should take less than a half hour to prepare, cook and serve.


Approx. 1 lb of Steak, any cut should do. (I wouldn't recommend using an expensive one though)
3 Tbs Cooking oil. ( I prefer Olive)
2-3 cloves Garlic
1/4 cup Soy Sauce
1-2 small Chilli Peppers (Dried chilli flakes are fine as well)
2 Red Peppers
4 Green Onions
1/4 cup Beef stock
3 Tsp Sugar
1 Tsp Cornstarch


1. Begin by putting on your rice, by the time it is cooked, you're beef stirfry should be ready.
2. Finely chop your garlic and chillis and add them along with your olive oil to a wok or deep pan. Cook these together until the garlic just begins to brown.
3. Thinly slice your steak and add to the wok, cooking until the outside is no longer pink
4. Slice your peppers and green onions and add them to wok along with the Soy Sauce, Beef Stock and Sugar.
5. Allow the entire mixture to cook together. When the peppers soften to a desired consistency, turn off the heat and stir in the corn starch to thicken.
6. Serve over rice.


There are all kinds of variation you can choose to do with this. If you want more heat, add more chilli. Less sweet add less sugar. For a change you may also want to consider adding a bit of ginger. It also works with different vegetables. I hope you enjoy.
