How to Use Reeds


Reed plants can be used as a medicine in, drunk, and as external medicine, smeared.

For drugs taken
Boil the dried roots of the weeds (15-30 grams), when using fresh, then the amount is approximately 30-60 grams. As for the flowers, about 5-10 milligrams, and young shoots of 5-10 grams. It could also be the root pounded and squeezed the water, or dry ground, to be used as a powder.

For external use only
Heads of flowers and stalks, finely ground, and stamped on the wound, or plugged into the nose, to stop the bleeding (nosebleeds).
