I painted this for an art show entitled 'Cafe Art.'
I love painting and the joy that my paintings bring. The quote that states, 'Dance as if no one is watching..' is hard to apply to life. I feel that I can apply this to my art.

This is one of my few oil paintings.

Things I don't like about oil:
1. slow to dry
2. if you mix too much, the colours get murky
3. hard to clean off hands
4. hard to clean off brushes
5. hard to store

Things I like about oils:
1. texture
2. how it dries
3. the feeling of the paint on the brush to canvas (glides wonderfully)
4. the finished look

In the end, this painting has both acrylic AND oil paints in it. The oils are the main part- the background, coffee mug and side detail. The acrylic is the steam and a few other touches of colour I felt like adding.

This was on display in a local coffee shop (surprise, surprise!) during a weekend event called 'Gallery Cafe'. Artists were encouraged to paint something that fell under the theme of 'Cafe' and so I did.
