Einstein and others have concluded time is an illusion and that past, present and future all exist simultaneously. I think that gives us another perspective to lead our lives with a spring in our steps that we have lived to tell the tale! We will forever be part of the humongous creative process and let us do our part like other species do.

Timeless Creation

Einstein said – “The only reason for time is so that everything doesn't happen at once”, but we are restless while in between what we want and the time it takes to achieve them. We worry there can be many a slip between the cup and the lip. In fact, Einstein had concluded that the past, present and future all exist simultaneously. He further stated “Time has no independent existence apart from the order of events by which we measure it.” So it is more of timelessness! Time is an illusion! For me then, it makes more sense to do what is right as co-creators and thereby leave a positive footprint. We would then have real fulfillment in searching for our own footprint that we have left from time immemorial, an indelible mark on the sands of time; even to retrace our steps! We are also ever alive as we feel our existence, the pain, joy of being.

Divine and Spiritual Existence

We have many a dream and pursue them our own way. Some among us are single-minded while others do digress and even forget what they want. Our lives are made up of fulfilling our dreams and then jumping to another – nothing is constant like creation itself. But when we realize the past, present and future exist simultaneously we should feel a sense of calm that we have done our part and living to tell the tale! We can feel the origin of time, even the permanence of creation and our own part in it. We are separate yet indivisible part of the whole – coexistence despite the diversity in every facet of the creative process. That is why we feel the oneness but also the urge to do our part wholeheartedly, share what we have. We feel that we are not up to the challenge at times, some emptiness within and yes – are we utilizing the allotted time at each stage of our evolution? The awareness and consciousness is implanted within by the Creator imploring us to do what is right yet giving us the ultimate freedom to make the choices! So we are divine and spiritual beings, blessed by creation itself, and never abandoned! What more do we want?

Inner Knowing

So, is it not comforting to think that we are part and parcel of the process and existing all the time! We have an inner awareness of the experiences from the past, traverse through the present and even have inkling of what is to come! We are in a melting pot churning all the time and being churned too! We are in a way like fish in a fish tank – are we going or coming or just staying where we are? One thing is clear - we are part of a humongous ride steered by the One who knows the right route! We may be able to call it quits here before our time but still continue in another energy form! That means think, ponder and act, do what comes naturally, avoid being a spoil-sport. Being negative is also a choice but we hurt not only ourselves but also the whole. It does matter in the end. Our beliefs also point out for a positive take and even non-believers know what to do as they too are implanted with a homing device!

Sharing of Journey

Peace of mind is what we are after and what better way than by not hurting another and by playing our divine part. I think of the rose – stays for a day and then bids goodbye signifying the way to live our lives. We can always shine our light by playing different roles but by seeing the positive side to every moment. Outwardly we might get weighed down by perceived negativity but look closer, scratch the surface, to see what is hidden within – the very essence and the road to positiveness though maybe coated with thorns! Death is just a change of clothing, another day to be welcomed and lived with others who have taken the path before us. Creation teaches us that every moment has to be savored, a purpose behind it though may not be apparent at this time.

Science has also come up with evidence to lead positive lives. Everything has meaning and not a moment is wasted. Einstein and others make even the non-scientists among us to pause and ponder though one might not understand the intricacies of their finding. I feel the take of timelessness makes my life worth every while to recharge as my life matters. I salute the Creator for adding such variety to keep us on our toes, make us aware that we all matter! When we share the same ride let us also enjoy each other’s company by appreciating and understanding where they come from. If we are destined to be actors in a greater plan, what is there to worry about? The director knows our roles – listen intently the inner voice!

Thank you Abdul for your thoughts and motivation.

When we see birth, life and death on a daily basis, we wonder where we are placed in the scheme of things. We are slowly ascending to a level that should help us to realize our potential that lies hidden due to our blinkered perception blinded by hate, jealousy, greed and selfishness.

The thought of past, present and future are intermingled should take us closer to the reality of creation and our role in it - siva

great article it gets you to think, but I don't believe in exist in different demensions. I can't be a baby, 20 and 60 at the same time. I don't see time as an illusion it is our reality. Yes classification of time was invented by man but what we were classifying existed forever.

Thanks Carol. I read about physicists analyzing the concept of time and though we cannot go back to the past or live in the future now, what they come up with is fascinating. We are in one energy force now, but we have no idea of others that can exist simultaneously.

Einstein and others have come up with the theory of time and I was sharing my thoughts on what they came up with and the wider implications with a philosophical take.

For me as long as my actions and even thoughts matter I feel my life is fulfilled - siva

Thanks for taking the time to write about time here siva.

I have often thought that if we could capture the thoughts gone out before that must still be travelling somewhere in space like light does, time would collapse in a heap, because we would then see it is us that separates ourselves, not time. Love lives now to be given now, not later.

Thanks Spirited - it is good to think about abstract ideas and thoughts, but still who we are eludes us and also where we go and where we come from. But our Creator has to be given the confidence that He can trust us but then even with what He has given us, we give Him enough headaches! We destroy faster than He can provide!

Hopefully, we will be able to "go up" sufficiently high to see whatever we want to see that happened before us but we will still be fighting how to change the course of history as we can be pulling in different directions!

Sticking to what we have to do to benefit others looks a safe option all the "time" - siva

I agree with you on time, but not on spirituality etc which are frauds on humanity by some cunning persons. Real spirituality is doing one's best in whatever task is undertaken.

Thanks Ram for your take.

Borderless thinking and action based on the oneness of creation but adding our uniqueness to better the creative process will more than suffice. We get carried away more with rituals than living by the essence of what is expected that we come with an innate awareness.

Our bane has been fighting each other on behalf of unseen Gods when there is only one source for all of us.

When we live a life based on zilch ego we merge with creation and then nothing else matters. Our soul will then violently revolt at negative thoughts - siva

Thanks ~ Siva ~ for sharing these touching and beautifully expressed thoughts:

'Peace of mind is what we are after and what better way than by not hurting another...'

'We can always shine our light by playing different roles but by seeing the positive side to every moment. Outwardly we might get weighed down by perceived negativity but look closer, scratch the surface, to see what is hidden within – the very essence and the road to positiveness though maybe coated with thorns! WOW . Out of all the articles that I have read of yours on this site, this ~ in my humble opinion ~ is absolutely the most wonderful. I sense that you are definitely listening to that inner voice.

Blessings.

Thanks Helen for such kind and generous words of encouragement.

What has stood me well, I like to share and also those that lead to our downfall. Many feel wealth is a goal by itself signifying success in life but pursuit of it is mostly against society's interests.

Having moved among all strata of society, I know those who make us feel at home are those who themselves are contented in life. Many are lured to enter the mad and unwinnable race of greed, ego and one-upmanship; it is then an inexorable ride to doom and gloom! siva

Hi Siva, I read the article carefully and also the comments as I like to read what others say and your reaction. Time of course is man made and doesn't exist outside the physical. I have also read about the concept of all thing happening simultaneously.and it is probably true but at the most I'm not really able to get my head around it. I expect most people are like that and maybe we will understand it someday. I most certainly believe that Death is just a change of clothing and that everything is connected. We are all one and when we hurt another we also hurt ourselves. The same is true for when we help another. In my opinion it doesn't matter what religion we follow as long as we understand that God is love. Those who follow no religion are doing fine as well as long as they show love and compassion. Thanks for an excellent post once again. Blessings.

Thank you Kingwell, I appreciate your input and support.

I get fulfillment in sharing my thoughts and when I get comments like yours, I am reassured that we are from the same source with similar feelings and emotions.

Though we are trying to unravel time, we can at most scratch the surface. As you shared in your article, we can readily go back in time in our dreams and thoughts, and even share the same emotions, why not feel the touch and smell too, of times long past! I have dreams where I live in another place leaving me to wonder about parallel existence.

We are from the same source and our thought process is also initiated by the same energy force we share. Intuitively, we know too what is right and wrong. Let us merge with the creative process and wish all well and lend our shoulders to that humongous wheel guided by one whose ability is unfathomable. I have come to a stage when even selfish thoughts bring revulsion within me

That we are picked to share our time here is the greatest blessing - siva

Yes indeed the concept of time is truly fascinating.
So, that is why I feel hungry at times...just after I have eaten lunch! It is the future in the present!
Just kidding Siva. Your articles are very enlightening and I agree that our existence is more ethereal than material. Material benefits do help of course with living and life.

Dear Siva, scientifically the concept of time cannot be proved. It is actually how our mind works that determines what is time. To our mind, the present moment feels special - it is real. However much we may remember the past or anticipate the future, we live in the present. In other words, it feels as though time flows, in the sense that the present is constantly updating itself. We have a deep intuition that the future is open until it becomes present and that the past is fixed. As time flows, this structure of the fixed past, immediate present and open future gets carried forward in time. This structure is built into our language, thought and behavior. How we live our lives hangs on it.

Yes dear Subra we have our past that is past us, present that is the greatest present and future that is not guaranteed.

Physicists take a theoretical view but the beauty of science is it is amenable to change as we learn along the way.

We learn from the past to understand the present while the future should give hope. In a rather ironical way, the poor tends to be happy thinking of a rosier future while for the rich it is the other way! siva

Thanks Marzeus; man proposes, god disposes in the end.

We can have positive thoughts followed by action but tough to anticipate the end result. So I just do what is best in the circumstances for the welfare of society in general and leave it at that.

One should be able to finally accept reality without losing heart - siva
