Digital marketing is synchronously connected with marketing using the web or internet. The focus of this workshop is on creating actionable competency in the domain of digital marketing by harnessing the power of the internet.

Digital Marketing theories

Digital Marketing is the promotion of both product and service offerings using all forms of digital media to reach the target segments. Although these channels of promotion can include a variety of channels, today digital marketing is synchronously connected with marketing using the web or internet. The focus of this workshop is on creating actionable competency in the domain of digital marketing by harnessing the power of the internet, leveraging which zillions of web-based ventures are sprouting up every day, and creating value with the minimal capital expenditure.

Now, the implementation strategies for a digital marketing focussed organization can be of “Push” type or “Pull” type. Today, web ventures are moving away from the “Push” focussed approaches to the “Pull” focussed approaches by developing the website’s competency using a process known as Search Engine Optimization (SEO). SEO has grown in popularity due to its cost effectiveness and long term benefits. SEO is the process of improving the visibility of web-based offerings in a search engine’s un-paid search results to ensure greater visibility, brand building and targeted traffic from the web and greater revenue generation from sales conversion. The participants of this programme would be exposed to the strategies and critical management issues centred around digital marketing and SEO tactics.

This programme aims to provide the participants detailed understanding in the following domains:

1. Developing a detailed understanding of digital marketing theories and application

2. Start a web-based venture successfully through strategic roadmap development and subsequently implementation of plans.

3. Leveraging Internet Analytics for boosting revenue. This will also focus on how to get the best from such Open Source / Free analytics offerings and how to convert leads.

4. In-depth understanding of the Search Engine Optimization process and how to enhance internet visibility. There will be substantial focus on understanding the theories behind Search Engine Optimization with a focus on leveraging the power of Google.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND : The course is designed for management professionals managing marketing activities in an organization, and is looking forward to take the “Brick” activities to the next level of “Click” activities and leverage the power of the Web. Also, this programme is for entrepreneurs who are keen to start off a venture which requires low capital expenditure and generates high returns on investment. METHODOLOGY : The programme adopts a mixed-methodological approach, whereby changes would be made from lecture driven approaches to work-shop based approaches, as and when required.
