Healthy salads have become an essential part of diet nowadays. Easy to make and tasty eat, these salads substitute for some part of the unhealthy diet we eat as a matter of necessity. Nature’s wholesome nutrition at its best. Chickpea salad provides a good protein input along with an equally good amount of fiber. This is good for overall health and since this salad is filling, it is good for weight loss enthusiasts. Very easy to prepare, it is also tasty.

What you will need.

The salad is vegan as no animal origin ingredients are used.

1. 1 cup chick peas.
2. 1 onion.
3. 1 Green chili.
4. 1 lime.
5. Salt to taste.
6. 1/2 cup coconut.
7. 1/2 cup coriander leaves.

What you need to do.

Steam chickpeas until they are soft. Dice onions and chilli fine. Grate coconut and chop the coriander leaves. Put steamed chickpeas, onions, chili in a bowl. Put in salt to taste. Squeeze in half a lime. Mix thoroughly. Garnish with grated coconut and chopped coriander leaves. Serve.
