Creating and using engaging social media posts to promote your brand/website or product has numerous benefits. This article highlights a few of them.

The Benefits of Engagement

Small businesses and digital marketers can really benefit from engaging social media posts. The problem is a lot of these small businesses and marketing projects tend to find it very hard to emulate engaging social media posts.

Most business owners and digital marketers want to increase likes, shares, comments, and other social engagements with their online content. When the engagement rises the chance of getting the product or service more coverage increases to. That's not even taking into account the social signals these likes and shares give to Google's ranking system.

So lets take a look at what elements make up engaging social media posts and see if we can improve on your social efforts.

Well the obvious point is to start with is being engaging! Yes it's easy to say but not so easy to be successful at. A lot of the time it is down to individuals not being able to figure out what topics are engaging. One tip here - a lot of the time social users like content related to a product but NOT content that try's to sell them the product.

Another way to create engaging social media posts is to make sure you stay on the topic of your niche. You want to make sure you are always engaging through topics that closely relate to what your life blood is. If your brand is not related to the topic then why are you spending so much time interacting with it?

A lot of engaging social media posts manage to offer innovative solutions to problems. Offering innovative, practical and preferably little-known solutions to certain problems social media users have will draw in considerable social engagements from those who are interested. If you manage to make your responses and solutions a little unique then you will in turn attract more followers and engagements.

And last but not least use images! Nearly all of the engaging social media posts I come across make thoughtful use of images. A plain text post in the main social homepage's timeline hardly gets the heart racing. Learn to pick attention grabbing images and use them with all your social posts. A lot of people choose thought provoking images but over the last few years I have noticed people use a lot more humorous images to grab attention. Make your choice - think outside the box and see what works for your engaging social media posts. Good luck!
