Everything happens for a reason, if you give it that reason to

Most people believe that everything that happens happens for a reason.

Is this really true though?

Here is a different take on this. If you are totally responsible for your own life, the reason must always be your own reason.

When are reasons not really reasons?

Everything actually happens without a reason for it happening.

Love just loves. There is never a reason for it loving.

All reasons are added to love by yourself trying to explain this greatness of God's loving, when you just cant understand that he could love you without any reason to do so.

It is God's nature to love.

Does God have an overriding purpose that includes all of our purposes as a part of it too? Is our wanting a reason for things happening, perhaps just a sign of our own inflated ego?

God has a plan, but its purpose is fulfilled from the infinite purposes of his creation.

If God had an overriding purpose, this would restrict our freedom. God has no purpose. He oversees all and simply powers all into being from his energy of love.

God watches and waits for us to understand what this love is, and so to eventually return his loving to him.

The reason for sin existing

"Sin is caused by insufficient loving of God, by directing his love into your own purposes."

If this was true, does it mean that we are directing God's love into our mind's purposes and not into our soul's purpose for us?

The purpose for each soul living in its body is indicative of its ability to understand love in its own way.

God wants every soul or part of him to feel love differently for themselves, and then to share this unique feeling with others.

When this is done the connective force of all that connective understanding of love brings a new level of loving into existence for those souls who can love from themselves, and so who are not falsely loving anymore just from their ego minds.

This new level of love is a form of enlightenment that brings certain responsibilities and abilities to that soul. They in fact live the rest of their lives as mini Gods, so to speak, before returning to God as a realised part of him then too.

The desires of the heart when twisted by sin are very heavily carried indeed.

The mind has no other real reasons to want or desire anything, except for the ego wanting to control you, and to run your life, setting you apart from God's will for you.

The heart has its real reasons, but only when they connected to the soul that is living with the holy spirit embedded, or living within it.

In the final analysis then, a reason is a desire in a way, when that want or desire is being pushed into existence by your ego.

Drop all of these false reasons, drop all desires, and drop those wants too.

The only purpose of you is to live from the purpose that your soul has for you, and that is fulfilled by your living from the gifts that God has bestowed in you, in the best of loving ways that you can.

There is no reason needed to love. Just love, and you will be loving then in the same way as which God loves. Until then, make your only reason for your existence, to love.

Do all and everything for that love. Find love in whatever happens to you. It is always there.

Quite deep thinking and analysis, Spirited. Our soul, conscience or spirit within is a spark of creation that guides us but mostly we ignore the promptings carried away as we are by our senses. I feel we are tested of our mettle to prepare ourselves for a higher purpose right here or elsewhere. The beauty of life is we can find our own level and the lower the level we think we descend the more loving are the people! siva

As humans its inherent in us to always seek a reason for whatever we do but when it comes to love. should we love just for love's sake.... there must be more to it, right? Anyway interesting angle to reasoning Spirited, nice work.

"should we love just for love's sake"

When we love for no reason love has no "sake," if we love for love's sake that too is a reason.

Does God have a reason for his existence, can existence have a reason, if it did the reason would be greater than God in a way, controlling him subtly.

Reason is of the mind.

We want to be satisfied by what we do, the heart has no reasons to love, it just forever loves.

Thanks siva, your reply here is also quite deep, who sets the levels though ourselves, or life?

Thanks Marilyn,

I was writing from the other side of reason. Everything happens for a reason because we are that reason...
