A deliciously new twist on an old but classic recipe.

New Twist on a Classic

My favorite food as a kid was a grilled cheese sandwich. As I got older, I learned new ways to make this classic recipe. One of my favorite ways to make a grilled cheese involves, mayo, four different kinds of cheese (parmesan, feta, cheddar, and cream cheese), and sourdough bread.

Mayo Instead of Butter

Start off with two pieces of sourdough bread. On one side of each piece of bread, spread a thin layer of mayo and sprinkle a little bit of parmesan. This is the side you will grill. Using mayo instead of butter will give the sandwich a nice zingy taste.

Final Touches

On the opposite side of the bread, spread a thin layer of cream cheese. The cream cheese will make the sandwich a little creamy. Next add the cheddar and feta cheese. You can use as much cheese as you want, to make it as cheesy as you want. Then you grill it. Once it's done, you have a grilled four cheese sandwich! Enjoy!
