On a road trip to Atlantic City, New Jersey, my friends and I randomly started a discussion about sweet deserts. One of my friends spoke about fried oreos, and how she made some for herself. I decided to give it a try (the best decision that I have ever made because it was one of the most delicious things I have ever tasted). I share the procedures with you below.

What You Need

A pancake mix plus additional ingredients listed on the box (egg, milk etc.)
Table sugar or Splenda
Frying oil (olive or vegetable)

How To Make Your Oreos

Before you begin, make sure that the oreos have been in the freezer for at least 4 hours.

Step 1: Make your pancake mix in a bowl, using the instructions and additional ingredients listed on the box, to create a smooth pancake batter mixture.

Step 2: Add table sugar or Splenda to the pancake batter that you made in step 1. How much should you add? The better question is, how sweet do you want your oreos to taste? The amount of sugar you add is completely up to you.

Step 3: Place frying oil in a skillet. Put enough oil to fill the bottom of the skillet. The oil should be about half to one inches deep. Heat the oil to frying temperature.

Step 4: Place your oreos in the pancake batter mixture. Make sure that they are completely submerged in the mixture.

Step 5: One by one, place the pancake batter covered oreos into the hot oil. Fry to a golden brown color.

Step 6: Air cool, and enjoy.

The finished product should look like the picture above.

Note: Fried oreos should not replace your daily meal or your daily intake of fruits and vegetables. Why do I say this? Because they are not the healthiest of desserts out there. Nonetheless, they are okay to have in moderation or whenever your sweet tooth gives you a good kick in the mouth.

Anyone who would even think Fried Oreo Cookies are a healthy dessert is an idiot.

Thanks for your comment Mark. Healthy or not, the delicious taste could potentially have a person hooked-- this may cause constant eating of fried oreos. Since this could happen, I made it perfectly clear that it is not healthy for anyone who finds himself or herself in this situation.
