Home Buying Guide for Single Women giving five useful tips.

Stronger Women

Independence. That’s the word you can hear most frequently when speaking about women nowadays. Fortunately, the society has changed for the better as far as our social status is concerned. Unfortunately, it wasn’t so long ago, thus the women who were born earlier didn’t have so much luck as we do. The same applies to some parts of the world where women’s rights are not respected even today. But back to the topic. Independence brought many new chances to women, being financially independent is especially a great progress. Therefore it is nothing out of the ordinary when a single woman can afford buying a home.

Income VS Expenses
How much can I spend? That should be the first thing to think about before the purchase. Buying a home is an expensive transaction and it will affect your finances considerably. So bear in mind, it is always good to have a backup plan, in case something goes wrong. Don’t forget about the extra expenses after the purchase, you will have to pay for an insurance, for the maintenance, taxes, etc. Spending only as much as you can afford is a way how to avoid ending up on the street after having given away all of your money on your dream home. It is similar to be broke and borrowing money from a bank to be able to go on exotic holidays, only much worse.

Professional Help
Throw away your prejudices against professional help from the real estate businessmen. There are many Toronto real estate brokers you can choose from. You can either do some research on the internet or ask your friends, whether they don’t know anyone reliable. If you think that a woman could be a better partner for you, don’t worry, there are many skilled women in the business.

The Right Place
I think I don’t need to stress the importance of the location when looking for a home, do I? So when you are choosing a home you can afford, you should find a place where you will feel good and safe at the same time. A neighbourhood that will satisfy your desires and offer you enough options for entertainment, relax, and everything you wish.

Your Home
What is a must in your new home? How many bedrooms do you need? Do you need a big kitchen or a small one will do? Simply put, you should have a certain conception of the property you are planning to buy. Write down all your requirements and wishes.

Sharing experience
If you have a friend who is also single and has already gone through the whole thing, it is a great advantage. She can give you some pieces of valuable advice, show you the way how to cope with unexpected problems you might experience. The number of single women buyers is constantly rising, so there is a big chance you will find someone experienced. If you don’t have any friends who went through it, don’t worry, the internet is the best place to search for help. Good luck!

One tip - if you are a woman, don't rent on the ground floor. That's usually the point of entry for thieves and the like. Rent on the higher floors.
