A simple recipe for an Asian food, Ginger Chicken With Dried Chili

Ginger Chicken With Dried Chilies

One of my favorite food to cook and to eat is this, Fried Chicken With Ginger and Dried Chili, or as we call it “Ginger Chicken With Dried Chili”. It is simple to cook, and the ingredients are not hard to prepare.

To prepare, the ingredients are:

Chicken meat – chopped in small pieces. Half a chicken would be enough for 3-4 people.
Ginger – peeled and thinly sliced.
Dried chilli – 5 to 6 should do for beginners (dried chillies are hot); thinly sliced.
1-2 garlics – crushed and chopped
1 red onion - sliced
6 Button mushrooms – sliced
1 leek – thinly sliced
Salt and Pepper to taste.

To cook: Heat oil in pan, then lightly fry the ginger and dried chilli. Add in the chicken meat, and stir. Leave for several minutes until the natural liquid dries, then turn down the heat to medium. Add in garlic and onion, and stir for 3 minutes. Add a bit of water. Lastly, add in the mushrooms, leek, salt and pepper, then mix together. Cook for another 3 minutes. Serve immediately.

This recipe is best eaten with hot rice. Sometimes, I like it as sandwich filling, very delicious! Have fun cooking.
