Some delectable sauces for you.Go ahead use these as an accompaniment with dishes.These sauces are originally Chinese but can be eaten with any type of cuisine.They add flavor to normal soups and salads.All the ingredients are healthy herbs and combine all the flavors of sweetness,sourness,spiciness,saltiness and many different tastes.

Vinegar chillies

This is thin watery liquid with tinge of chillies and the sourness of vinegar.It can be served as an accompaniment with all Chinese dishes except desert.I f you have a fondness for a tang in your dishes while eating then keep this easy recipe at hand.It is the simplest and easiest to make.Print it and add it to your recipe book or bookmark it for future reference.

1/4cup finely chopped fresh green chillies.
1/2 cup vinegar
1/2 tsp.sugar
1/2 tsp.salt


Take vinegar in a bowl.Mix the other ingredients in the vinegar and stir with a spoon.Cover this mixture and keep for 2 hours,the chillies will loose some of its bite.Serve this as your best accompaniment.

Another tangy version of sauce as an accompaniment to your soups,fries,pasta,fritters and other delicious food.


1/2 cup vinegar
1 tbsp.sugar
1 tbsp.lemon juice
1/2 tsp salt
2 tbsp.finely chopped seedless green chillies
1 tbsp.peeled and finely chopped garlic
1 tbsp.finely chopped coriander leaves


Pour the vinegar in a bowl.To this add all the other ingredients and stir till the sugar dissolves.Set aside for an hour for it to assimilate all flavors.Use as required.

Chilly sauce for fried fritters a great sauce

Serves: 4-6
Prep Time: 50minutes
Total Time: 1hour -20 minutes

Fry fish prawns,chicken and use this as a great dipper.
tsp.= teaspoon.


Fried prawns or fish fritters or fried chicken prepared beforehand.
1tsp.crushed ginger
1 small spring onion
1/2 cup stock
2 tbsp.tomato sauce
1 tsp
soya sauce
1 tbsp.garlic chilly sauce
1 tbsp.vinegar
1 tbsp.sugar
1tbspn cornflour mixed with 1/4 cup cold water.
2tbspn oil


Heat oil in a pan.Add the ginger,garlic,spring onions,and stir fry till light brown.Add the stock,tomato sauce,soya sauce,garlic chilli sauce,sugar,vinegar and salt.Bring to the boil.Stir well and add the fried items that you may have prepared before hand.Add the cornflour mixed with 1/4 cup cold water and simmer,stirring continuously,until the sauce thickens.Serve hot.
