Hound dogs they are called. They are the hunters of the canine class. These dogs possess hunting abilities which make them earn their name. Characteristically, these dogs are highly intelligent that they can take control of a prey to a point of chase and kill.

Dogs' Social Status

Dogs these days are commonly treated as pets. Way back, during the times of hunters and chasers, where most people depend on hunting food for daily sustenance, dogs are mostly used to assist huntsmen.

Hound Characterics

Hound dogs they are called. They are the hunters of the canine class. These dogs possess hunting abilities which make them earn their name. Characteristically, these dogs are highly intelligent that they can take control of a prey to a point of chase and kill. They have resistant body built that allow them to sustain any hunting ground, plain or torque terrain.

Beagle

The most common hound dog is the Beagle. It is characterized to be the oldest of the hound group. Beagles are independent and progressive, which makes it hard for them to easily adapt to training specifics. They have keen sense of smell for which huntsmen choose them to be trained as chasers and trackers. One thing about beagles is that they like to chase their prey up to its very last gasping breath before pinning them down. Although not all beagles are patient enough to a chase and kill operandi, for some hound beagles pin and attack the moment they caught eye on their prey.

Bloodhound

Another dog which somehow has similar characteristics with the beagle, are Bloodhounds. Bloodhounds are precise when it comes to whiffing. It can trace a certain type of odor even with a wide perimeter distance. It can track it from the point of its origin rigidly. Although these dogs are as cheerful as beagles, which can be domesticated, negatively these bloodhounds are bounteous drooling machines which will require you owners to bib them like little babies. Since mentioning babies is quite reverting us from the main point, it is advised to owners that these dogs should be domesticated with adult supervision and not leave small babies to play with bloodhounds alone. This is because bloodhounds are covetous. They like to play with colorful and round baby toys which to a point claim those as their own, hence endangers children that they might be attacked due to argumentative possessions.

Hound's Lineage

There are many dog breeds under the hound dog group, and these include: Basenji, Whippet, Basset Hound, Dachshund, Afghans, Borzoi, Salukis and Greyhounds. Like the Beagle and the Bloodhound, these dogs are also cheerful and lovable as they can be domesticated as pets. Since they are hound dogs, what mostly fuels them is the drive to hunt, to be actively moving and to be dynamically predators. Since they are confined in the world of domestic orientation as pets, they keep this instinct, but it is always recommended to owners that once a hound dog, will always be a hound dog. To simplify, once a predator will always be a predator.

Watch and be keen, don’t get these dogs offended, because they might just morphed back to its original nature and offensively argue with you paw by paw.
