How to disable Adf.ly Links using Greasemonkey for Firefox or Using Chrome Userscripts.

Firefox Method

Using Firefox, you will require to download the addon for Greasemonkey which is a addon which allows the usage of userscripts. This can be found here. Once this has been installed you can run this script by hitting the install button. Firefox may require you to accept the changes. To test if this works, you can try on this example link http://adf.ly/6POV5.

Chrome/Chromium Method

Unlike Firefox, Chrome/Chromium supports userscripts, meaning that you can simply go to the user script site and download the userscript (by pressing the install button). Once this file downloads, go to the chrome settings and go into the extensions tab and check the developer mode. Than open the folder in which the user script was saved (typically your downloads folder) and than drag and drop the file into your extensions window.

How to Test

You can test whether this works by using the link down here to check if the user script works:

Please let me know if this no longer works and than I shall find an alternative method but for now this should work.
