A merry heart really does good like a medicine and it tends to make a cheerful countenance.

When we obtain joy and gladness, sorrow and sighing will then flee away.

Endeavor To Get Some Quiet Time Daily

It is amazing what marvelous benefits are derived from taking several minutes
of quiet time daily out of a busy schedule for reflection.

For some you may only need ten to fifteen minutes. Others perhaps thirty minutes or an hour.

Watch What You Eat

Eat lots of fresh fruits and leafy green vegetables. If necessary ~
put them in a blender or food processor and liquidify them. Eat healthy
seafood such as fresh salmon and fresh tuna.

It may seem daunting initially but retrain your taste buds and resist the temptation to overeat.

Avoid eating foods that take up to 72 hours to digest.

Watch What You Drink

Make sure your intake of good clean drinking water is adequate

Avoid colas and alcoholic beverages.

Be Careful What You Keep Hearing

Fill your mind with inspirational positive thoughts and learn to ignore insults.

Responding angrily to an insult ~ may result in ~ a heated argument which
may elevate your blood pressure all the way up to stroke level.

Do whatever you have to do to remain calm and smile.

Stay Connected To The Power Source ~ Our Creator God

This is actually number one. Without effectuating this principle by becoming born-again, it is extremely difficult ~ almost impossible ~ to consistently do the first four.

It's important to keep a consistent prayer life. That benefits both you and those with whom you regularly interact.

In Our Creator's Wonderful Book of Teaching on Life and Love, we are admonished in the Fifteenth Chapter of the Gospel of John in Verses four and five:

Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.

I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.

Joy comes from The Power Source. His joy gives you the strength to maintain your glow ~ wherever you go.

Good post Helen. Many people like to take a half hour or so for meditation or contemplation every morning and replacing negative thoughts with positive ones is great as well.I also like affirmative prayer. Blessings.

"Joy comes from The Power Source."

I guess this means indirectly then, that if we are not feeling joyful, we have lost partly our connection to that greatest of power sources.

A joyful read Helen.

Kudo on your briliant and down to earth write up, Helen.
People like me know the right things to be done, but do not just get down to doing them at and at the right time also (i just love my chocs and cakes).

Thank you very much for this very inspirational message. I think that we also have to know when to turn the TV off so that we don't become influenced by the corruptness of what is going on in this day and age.
