Become more self-conscious and self- aware and your life will most likely change for the better. Work on yourself, visit nature so you do not forget where you came from and that will help you regain the balance you once lost.

Introduction

The world we live in is not always a pleasant place. Modern times dictate a pace which is not that easy to follow by every single one of us. Our surroundings and our habitat don’t really suit our nature anymore; concrete, rough edges and pollution are all around us. People tend to spend more time in their car than on their feet, which makes them even more distant from their true nature. It is not untrue to say that we are victims of our own progress. Even though there are many benefits of civilization, there are even more downsides. More and more people suffer from depression, obesity, diabetes and other types of illnesses typical for the time we live in. The food we eat most of the time is not even suitable for our digestive system, and goals we tend to strive for are not really our own, they are mostly something that we are manipulated about by the media, for the reasons most of us are not even familiar with. If you feel somewhat lost and unhappy, here are some things that you should do in order to reduce feeling that way.

Visit nature

Living in big cities is maybe something that we are used to, since it has been like that for decades, but it is not completely natural. Human beings need the great outdoors in order to feel happy and complete. Whenever you find the time, use it to visit a nearby forest, or go mountain climbing. Everyday noise that we are exposed in the city has a great damaging effect on our overall well being, more than we are even aware of, so getting away from it and enjoying the sounds of nature and a breath of fresh air will reset your mind and fill you with the energy you didn’t even know you were missing. Looking at the trees and landscapes, instead of buildings and roads, will make you feel relaxed and calm. It may sound simple, and it is, but the benefits of visiting Mother Nature at least once a month are huge. Don’t be lazy and skeptic, we come from the nature... we can’t be complete without it.

Read books

In this virtual age of internet, video games and TV shows, books are more and more neglected. Many people say that they would rather watch a movie based on a book than read an original, but that is not the same thing, because when you are watching a movie, you see the director’s perspective of the book, which can never be the same as it would be your own while reading. Books can be a great source of inspiration and you can learn a lot by reading about other people’s experiences. Fantasy novels have the ability to transfer you into other realms and drive you away from everyday worries and problems, making your imagination alive again, which can be beneficial for the development of creative thinking, and that can bring many improvements to your life.

Take care of your health

Taking care of our health should be the top priority for everyone, since when you are in good health, you can do everything, and when you are sick, the only thing you can do is try to get healthy again. Try to incorporate some physical activities, such as running or swimming in your weekly schedule, this will not only make you healthier, but it will make you look much better, which will build up your confidence. Take care of what you eat, stay away from processed foods and sugary drinks, enrich your diet with a lot of fruits, veggies and lean meat instead of fast food and salty snacks. Proper nutrition will provide you with a lot more energy to do the things you like, and remember – you are what you eat, and if you stuff yourself with junk food, what does that make you? Make a habit of checking your health regularly - visit your doctor and your dentist at least three times a year. If you neglect your oral health, you can end up with various problems with your heart and digestive system. There are tons of different dental procedures and, if you don’t do your check-ups on time, you might require more than one.

Are we living our goals or have to measure up from birth till death to others' expectations? Once we decide to live on our terms, happiness will walk through the door! siva
