How to Make a Delicious Cup of Tea

A cup of tea can be very refreshing first thing in the morning or after a tiring stressful day. It takes only a few minutes to prepare and contains a lot of antioxidants that are good for your general health.

Tea For Good Health

I live in a land where we grow tea and this is the beverage of choice and the nutritional benefits are in plenty especially the level of antioxidant that fight free radicals in the body. Black tea is the most available and cheapest of all other types of tea.
When you drink tea everyday its good to spice it up so that you get the best taste possible.

Let us start with the simplest tea to make:

Black tea.

Boil a cup of water and put it in a cup.
Put in a tea bag and let it stand for five minutes.
If you don’t have a sweet tooth then your tea is ready but if you have a craving for the sweet add some sugar or any other sweetener of your choosing.

White tea

For this one follow the above procedure but in the finish put in some milk or non diary creamer to your taste.

Ginger Tea.

Allow me to state that this is my favorite kind of tea.
Put a one and half cup of water in a cooking pot and a medium sized chopped ginger and bring to the boil, put in half a tea spoon of black tea leaves and turn off the heat and let it stand for five minutes.
Strain with a sieve into a cup and add some honey to taste. Absolutely delicious!!

Lemon Tea

For this to have a unique taste, I prefer to chop half a lemon and boil it in a cup of water and then strain with a sieve in a cup with a tea bag and let stand for 5 minutes. This is tasty on its own or honey can be added for that magic taste.

Garlic Tea.

This is especially good when one has a cold as it soothes the throat.
In a cooking pot, chop in a clove of garlic, half a lemon, a piece of ginger and put in two cups of water and bring this to a boil.
Strain in a cup with a tea bag and let it stand for five minutes and put in some honey to taste.

Turmeric Tea

I call this my tea with a punch for when I am home and need that extra kick.
In a pot put in two cups water and half a teaspoonful of powdered turmeric and a half a teaspoonful of dried tomato powder and bring to a boil. Strain into a cup with a tea bag and let it stand for five minutes and nothing else needs to be added.

CinnamonTea.

This one is designed to be an even healthier version of tea.
In a pot put two cups of water, a half teaspoonful of powdered cinnamon. Half a teaspoonful of dried nettle, a teaspoonful of dried powdered tomato, half a teaspoonful of dried powdered ginger and bring to the boil.
Strain with a sieve into a cup with a tea bag and let it stand for five minutes Enjoy !

Please note that after letting your tea stand for five minutes remove the tea bag and dispose off.

Use a warmed cup if possible as it helps the tea retain heat for longer.

There are many more ways to be creative with your tea, try something new once in a while and you will also become a fan and drink tea for better health.
