How to Transfer Contacts from Android to Android

As people are busy with work and life today, contacts must be the last data you want to lose on your mobile device. While switching phones is more and more common, it is necessary to learn how to transfer contacts between mobile phones. Here we are going to talk about 2 useful ways of transferring contacts from Android to Android.

How to do it?
Option 1 Auto-sync Contacts between Mobile Phones with Google

Auto-sync. To simply put it, you can sync contacts to your Google account on one Android phone, then log in to your Google account on another Android phone and merge contacts.

1. Set up Google account (if you have not) on “Settings >Accounts” on the old Android phone, then make sure “Contacts” is in sync. The sync must be completed under network. You may check whether it is finished by choosing to display Google contacts only on Contacts app.
2. On the new Android phone, log in to the same Google account. If your phone isn't set to automatically synchronize your contacts, go to ”Settings -> Accounts & Sync -> Select your Google account -> Sync Contacts”.
3. View and check whether all your contacts have been transferred to the new Android.

Option2 Transfer Contacts between Android Phones by Export/Import

Export-import. On almost all phones today, there usually have “Import/Export” option on Contacts app. You can export contacts as .csv file(s) or .vcf file(s) on one Android phone. Then move the file to another Android phone and import it to Contacts.

1.On the old Android phone, find “Export/import” option on Contacts app, which is usually under “MORE >Settings” or “MORE >Manage contacts”. Tap “Export to storage”, then you will be shown with all contacts. You may select all contacts and untick those repeated or those you don’t need. Tap “Export”, then a .vcf file or .csv file will be saved on the root folder of phone storage.
2.Find the exported file and migrate it to the new phone. You can either import it through Export/import option on Contacts app or tap on the file directly.
3.Check whether any information is lost.

These two ways are reliable, but need manual operation. Actually, there is a tool, Gihosoft Mobile Transfer, can do the same work fast and easily. It is worth to be given a try.
