An article on the traps of mega sales and things to avoid before buying anything from discounted price.

Truth & Lies

Having those days where everywhere on Earth is having mega sales & huge discounts? Don’t be fooled with them (at least some of them)! Not everything is worth buying at a discounted price. Why so? Read on below and you will never regret!

1. Paying less than suppose to?

Not really. Imagine on the company side. Do you wish to lose more money by selling discounted products? Then why do you actually do so many sales over a month? It is because the company has actually slapped a higher price on the products. Buying the discounted items only to know that they are cheaper by 5 dollars? Not really a good experience don’t you think?

2. Damaged items

Most of the time, huge discount tags will fool our eyes. We will be so happy that we will leave out certain part of damage on the product. We will notice it after purchasing it and regret as the receipt stated “Discounted items not refundable after purchase”. Discount is discount but don’t ever rush on it. It could make us lose more money than intended.

3. Huge discounted price

When you see the price tag bolded in red saying 70%, you would just grab it right? Same here but think again. Are you saving more money? Possible. However, do you really need it? Most of the time we buy discounted items as it is within our budget but how many times do you actually buy something that you really need? Time to rethink on buying everything you see during mega sales?

Generally, always have a plan on what you going to buy or at least a budget before going for such sales. We could be unlucky and fall into the ‘trap’. Go for all your mega sales hunting as usual but just from this time onwards, you are smarter!
