Some queer thoughts about death and dying!
Oh! No, no... it's about living, if you can see what I mean!

Something inspirational about dying

Out of curiosity, I was searching for something interesting about death. And I stumbled upon these wise quotes which I chose to contemplate upon.

"There are no goodbyes for us. Wherever you are, you will always be in my heart." ~ Gandhi

That shows how Gandhi's heart was filled with compassion and love for others, whoever it maybe. That's how it's very apt to say Gandhi was/is a Mahatma (great soul).

"Dying is a wild night and a new road". ~Emily Dickinson

To understand this quote, I just browsed through to her (Emily Dickinson's) poem "Because I could not stop for Death –" wherein she begins the poem with immortality and confirms that our journey is towards eternity.

* * *

"It matters not how a man dies, but how he lives. The act of dying is not of importance, it lasts so short a time". ~Samuel Johnson

Yes, it doesn't matter much about how one lives, but how one lives in the hearts of others is more important. The person lives forever as the world remembers for the good s/he did while living physically.

* * *

"Die happily and look forward to taking up a new and better form.
Like the sun, only when you set in the west can you rise in the east."
~ Jelaluddin Rumi

How true!

"So let's shine like the sun giving life to the world as we live along forever." ~Rathnashikamani

"What would you do if you knew that you had only few minutes ..."

Unique post and images, thanks Rathna. Meaningful quotes to portray death is closing of one door and opening of another - life is a never ending journey. We replenish our souls along the way and help others find their footing - siva

I I die weeping, I'd rather that I burst out laughing until tears come to my eyes.:-) Great quotes Mahatma Rathna. Glad to see you back! Namaste!

I heard this from Robinson Crusoe's movie "it is not when you die that matters, it is how you die that matters most"
