Music can be a close friend to everyone who likes to listening it and especially to the young people because Music is the sound that has been organized by using rhythm, melody or harmony. If someone bangs saucepans while cooking, it makes noise. If a person bangs saucepans or pots in a rhythmic way, they are making a simple type of music.

The Musics

In addition to expel turmoil, music can also give peace when needed, for the spirit through the day, and can nourish the body's organs, including the hormones in the body. There is no simple definition of music which covers all cases. It is an art form, and opinions come into play. Music is whatever people think is music.
A different approach is to list the qualities music must have, such as, sound which have rhythm, melody, pitch, timbre, and etc. These and other attempts, do not capture all aspects of music, or leave out examples which definitely are music. According to Thomas Clifton, music is "a certain reciprocal relation established between a person, his behavior, and a sounding object". Musical experience and the music, together, are called phenomena, and the activity of describing phenomena is called phenomenology.

Excessively to Listening Music

Excessive Use of Headphones to Listen to Music can Cause Deafness, A New York City Health Department survey discovered that one out of four adults who admitted to using head phones quite frequently on personal music players, have reported diminished hearing.
The survey revealed that more than one-third of the younger lot listens to music using headphones everyday. Some of them had a habit of increasing the volume, and also listened to music for more than four hours everyday. Those who used headphones heavily to listen to music were twice as likely to experience hearing loss as compared to those who were not frequent MP3 listeners.
For those who have trouble hearing a conversation or need to increase the volume while viewing television or listening to music must get a hearing test to evaluate the extent of hearing loss. Experts have recommended that it is good to restrict the listening time and never ever play the music at maximum volume. As quoted from Savitha C. Muppala paper.

The Negative Impacts

However, there are some things that should be kept in mind for enjoying music. Because music can be a danger if carelessly listened, as quoted from The India Times, in last July 2013. Here following some of the "Negative Impact of Excessive to Listening the Music":

  • "I tell people if you want to prevent tinnitus should not listen to the music player more than 60 percent of maximum volume or do not listen to more than 1 hour a day. Unfortunately, most people exceed this limit." said Dr. Kaushal Sheth.

Music More...???

  • Music More Dangerous Than SMS?. Based on research from the University of Alabama at Birmingham that is found listening music while crossing the street more dangerous than while typing SMS messages or talking on the phone.
  • "The big problem that occurs is the music makes your ears. You listen to music and do not pay attention to traffic." said David Schwebel, PhD, director of UAB's Youth Safety Laboratory.

In the ear, hair cells inside to act as a coating for incoming noise and filter out noise. If exposed repeatedly, you develop tinnitus, where the hair cells become obsolete," said Dr. Kaushal Sheth.

  • "I prescribe hearing aids for the ages of 18 and 20 years old. Not only the constant music lovers, but also with a loud voice." he says. With this recipe ear disorder patients experienced a dramatic recovery.

According to him, that the more listening musics in loudly then faster aging of the ear.
"I call it old ears on young bodies." said Dr. Kaushal Sheth.

I would say this is a very timely research for most teenagers who are addicted to listening to modern music using head or ear phones. They must heed your findings or find themselves late in life having ears which are "hard of hearing" or having old ears in young bodies as one doctor you've cited has said. Write more!
