Where does the Naga Fireball occur? Can we see it too?

A short note about the Naga Fireballs

This phenomenon occurs in the Mekong River stretching near the Phon Phisai district in Nang Khai province of Thailand and Pak-Ngeum district which lies 80 km south to the Laos capital city, Ventianne. The place which forms the exact centre of this phenomenon in the river is called Ground Zero from where the balls rise up into the air. People also report the occurrence of this mysterious process over other ponds and small water bodies of the region, while others claim to have seen the same thing happening over the surrounding rice fields. This phenomenon generally occurs at the end of Buddhist lent, a three month long sort of fasting season which also coincides with the end of three month long period of rainy season here. The festival Wan Awk Pansa is a part of all this and according to English calendar this phenomenon takes place between the last week of October and first week of November.
