India is known for its culture and tradition. Though all the oldies may complain of modern trends creeping into India, we cannot deny that we are rich in our cultural heritage.

Today we see India as what the media shows us.

How do you view India today? As a land of corruption and poverty? An overpopulated concrete jungle ruled by caste politics? Today we see India as what the media shows us. When Arnab Goswami rants and screams about the rising prices and the rate of unemployment, he makes us believe that India has been reduced to a nation full of problems, where nothing is going right for it. So, have we somewhere lost the view to Incredible India? Have we nothing to be proud of as Indians? Let us look at the half full glass full for a change.

India is known for its culture and tradition.

India is known for its culture and tradition. Though all the oldies may complain of modern trends creeping into India, we cannot deny that we are rich in our cultural heritage. We have diversity in every aspect, including food, clothing, languages, religions! Shashi Tharoor once said, I have celebrated the fact that a country that is 81 per cent Hindu has a Muslim President, a Sikh Prime Minister, a Catholic leader of the ruling coalition and now, a Dalit Chief Justice.' while we complain of the problems of pluralism, let us remember to celebrate its beauty.

Looking back to our past, we see that we have a glorious history.

Looking back to our past, we see that we have a glorious history. A history of just and wise rulers, of great monuments and of self-sacrificing freedom fighters. Our country has produced inspiring leaders and role models for the world like Mahatma Gandhi, who not only helped us in our struggle for independence but also helped other countries.

Good article.I think India is doing well. Its has one of the fatest growing economy. With a population of a billion it has the largest democracy.Culture is still intact but I think its just wants to accommadate globalisation for revenue purposes.it wants its market to appeal to the world but by doing this they intergate both eastern and western culture just to make it appealing. We have examples of fashion as well as India's movie Industry. My respect goes out to all freedom fighters of India.I would like to leave you with a quote I wrote,"Having a passion is important. But having a passion to see that man is not chain to ignorance but held high in knowledge no matter what army rules,no matter what odds are against him is a true freedom fighter,a sepoy,a Mangal Pandey."
