Our subconscious mind can never be fooled by our imagination

Our imagination is a very powerful tool for us to use, but is there something even greater than this, that we can also use to obtain insight, understanding, and to solve our problems with?

This writer claims that faith is such a tool!

Imagination creates reality, but that's no great secret

"When you close your eyes and you visualize having money and imagine doing all the things you want with that money, you are creating a new reality.

Your subconscious mind and the law of attraction do not know whether you are imagining something, or whether it is real. And so when you imagine, the law of attraction receives those thoughts and images as though you were actually living them, and it must return those visions to you.

When you are in the place where what you are imagining feels real, you will know that it has penetrated your subconscious mind, and the law of attraction must deliver it.
May the joy be with you."

Rhonda Byrne
The Secret... joy for billions

At first reading, you might think that this is true, but on a second reading?

On a second reading, you might then think that this is rubbish for how can reality ever be changed, or created as new?

If our subconscious mind does not know what is real, why would we think that our conscious mind does? Is our imagination actually more real than this reality that it's trying to change here like this then? Where does the truth lie?

Imagination is an act of love in its way. It is love creating something new that then becomes reality for your consciousness to observe and to work with.

The subconscious knows this too, but it follows the imagination because it knows that this is what the imagination is doing and that the truth is that the imagination is far greater than what reality ever is.

Actually it is your imagination that creates your reality for you as it did for God too.

"You create your own reality"

This is a quote from Jane Roberts, an American author, and paranormal practitioner, (1929 to 1984).

"Imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited to all we now know and understand, while imagination embraces the entire world, and all there ever will be to know and understand."

This is a quote from that great mind that was Albert Einstein, (1879 to 1955).

If we substitute the word knowledge for reality here in this quote of Einstein's, we will find that Einstein pretty much agreed with what I have just said here above.

Are you your imagination, or something even greater?

"You are nothing perceivable, or imaginable. Yet, without you there can be neither perception nor imagination."

This is a quote from the Indian spiritual teacher Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj, (1897 to 1981) from his classic book, simply entitled, "I AM THAT."

Is this sense, truth, or gobbledygook?

Is Nisargadatta lost within his own mind's idea of his needing his mind to perceive with, or to imagine with?

I say this because these things exist even without a mind.

A mind only separates reality's oneness into infinite parts so that consciousness might arise, and so in this way, oneness can see itself in itself in innumerable mirrors of its own imagination at work.

What is greater the imagination, or the imaginer?

Neither is because the imagined only comes to life as he imagines.

What is imagination?

It is the particles of oneness coalescing as separate partitions then reconnecting together once more again. Any other words, it is God breathing, in and out.

Imagination, faith, and reason

It has often been said that all human progress is due to imagination. Mankind can see past things as they are, and see things as they can be.

How is imagination related to understanding, or to faith?

Imagination is a lower world form of faith.

Faith also sees with inner eyes, as does the imagination, but faith sees with the heart's eyes, and imagination with the mind's.

There is nothing wrong with this though, both faith and imagination play their part in creating a knowledge base of understanding from which a wiser person can grow.

"I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you will know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints."

This quote is from the Christian bible. It comes from Saint Paul's letter to the Ephesians, chapter 1, verse 18.

I believe that Paul is referring to our inner eyes here, or in other words the eyes of faith, as I have called them above.

In a way, we are all only a part of God's creative imagination, which is continually working within us as well, as these inner eyes of faith.

Faith provides the substance that reason tries so hard to explain. Nothing exists without faith, but nothing exists for reason alone, without an accompanying reason to explain it.

Reason has its uses in determining understanding's direction. The greater truths are not found from reasoning them into existence. Truth underpins reason, but truth is greater than all of reason's attempts to explain it.

Reason is the logical directive pushing of our minds to deliver understanding to itself.

This is in contrast to our hearts which, in operating from love, always have all of the faith that is ever needed to be able to jump past reason to creatively pursue our soul's own spiritual goals, unrestricted by any reason, that might be thrown up by our minds, in urging us not to do so.

Enough faith can move mountains, while reason will always be left wondering what has happened. Imagination does not try to move the mountain by faith though, it tries to find a way through. The mind tries to solve problems, the heart removes them altogether.

I don't know what you call that thing beyond the mind. But that thing will definitely be there when the mind matures. Just like the mangho tree will definitely bring forward the fruits when the tree matures.

yes much truth written here spirited yet the mind, emotions and imagination are of the realms of negativity.. not bad. Above the etheric /unconscious realm is the first realm of soul and that is where we all reach into. The negative/posiitive realms of light can be compared to a battery. Our work is cut out to secure ourselves in the soul realm and above Not an easy work for always the negative levels pull on us but very worth while.

good point Carolina, nothing is necessarily bad. The negative also serves its purpose to strengthen us in its way.
