The continuation of a "reprint" about an aborted children poetry book project due to mature content aka tragedy.

"...will fnd it's way"

The continuation...

The next morning, we still hope the other kitten will find its way. It never did, but the piece of heaven Onion will bring is such bliss from that day onward. From garden hunting to curtain climbing our days will be filled with his little tricks to our thrills. We have now a furry companion of joy our kindred cat - Onion proudly holds on us

"..royal greetings"

After six seasons and three house relocations, Onion, mastered a royal greeting even before we open the door. But things had to be reconsidered for his health and our routines. One day we offered him a harness instead of a cage to keep him inside our house but safety on the hours we are out at school time and my business hours. Our Onion was agitated on the first day
so we give reprieved for some time, for him to adjust since it curtails his freedom to explore even it only counts against his day time napping we thought. The next day he will be a hero to our neighbors delight when he catches a poisonous viper snake inside their kitchen adjacent to our very own backyard.

Thinking ahead of worst time than better days, we still gave Onion a leash for a controlled outdoor training away from his regular prey, or even predator that he might encounter from his natural cat curiosity

Then that day followed, accounted by my son coming from school. “the solstice of an afternoon” beckoning the absence of Onion’s purring was deafening. He simply saw the still shadow of former gentle coo. Unimaginable but, our feline hero who hates its collar met an accident over the window pane few inches short above his playground.
On my arrival, we comfort all the thoughts we cared. To our dear cat, Knight of the house we shed our collected tears.

"forever be ablaze.."

Under a Pussy Willows we buried the mortal remains, exalting his short and eventful life we offer this Elegy for our favorite Cat

Quenching needed love quietly
treasured life so openly
brings the threshold of our life
sliced by fate like that of knife

Not a mirage in our heart
to melt like sculptured ice art
in the solace of our days
forever be in ablaze

We watched you grow
we watched you glow
when times indeed was slow.
