Remove the fold from the hinges. Remove the decorative covers from the top and bottom hinges. From the top loop, we beat out the axis: first, we hit it from above, and then we remove it from the bottom with pliers. You need a helper to hold the sash because it is heavy. We remove the fold from the lower loop and lay it on the table. Remove the handle. On the perimeter of the entire fold, unscrew all the screws securing the fittings. Remove the mechanism of their special groove. Lay the accessories on the table, covered with a film. We rinse the entire mechanism with a brush dipped with washing substance.

After a thorough wash, dry the mechanism with air. You can use a cycle pump. Buy a special lubricant for the accessories of plastic windows and lubricate all the transfer elements and rubbing parts.
Gently put the accessories back on and secure them with screws. Install the handle, lubricate the hinges and hang the sash.
Replacement of the sealant in plastic windows
The average service life of the sealant is 5 - 10 years. If you can see it is out of order or worn out then it's time to replace it. First, go to your local hardware store and buy a new one. Check along its length to see if there are no faults.
Remove the old sealant. Clean and rinse the groove thoroughly. Cover the groove with the glue around the perimeter. We set the sealant slowly and carefully - we must not allow the cord to stretch or contract.
DIY reglazing windows
If you are not sure in your abilities, it is better to consult a specialist. In any case, you will need to order a new double-glazed window if it’s broken.
Remove the old double-glazed windows. With the help of a metal spatula, we remove all the glazing beads. We put the spatula in the junction between the frame and the double-glazed window, slightly hit and remove the glazing beads. When all the glazing beads are removed, take out the double-glazed window - the two of them, it is heavy. Gently lay it on the floor. Measure all parameters: height, width, thickness. Inform the dimensions of the manufacturer and wait for the new double-glazed windows.
Install the straightening plates at the bottom. Insert a new double-glazed window. Keep the geometry correct. If necessary, put more straightening plates. Then set the glazing beads. A new window is ready.
Important! the replacement of a double-glazed window in a wooden window requires another technology with the use of a more serious tool, so do not try to do it yourself.
