Smart watches or should I say "Wearables" are becoming very much the in-thing at the moment
Last year it was "Activity Trackers" such as the Garmin Vivoactive, the TomTom Multi-Sport Cardio, the Polar Loop, the Jawbone UP2, the Microsoft Band 2 and the Fitbit Charge HR now it looks like the smart watch is taking over

My Christmas present to Myself

Well, I have finally been and gone and done it! I have bought myself a smartwatch, after perusing all the different models I finally picked a Samsung gear S2 classic

I have always been a fan of Samsung with a television, laptop and mobile phone already under my wing, but looking for the right watch was not easy the first and foremost important thing for me was the price.

Keep a heath track with heart and step monitor and more

Believe it, or not one can pay up to £900 that is $1400 for a Tag Heuer or if you really want to push the boat out you could go for Apple's $10,000 gold watch so after looking at those prices, I decided to go for a watch that would be a little friendlier to my pocket

The original Pebble is still the best budget smartwatch you can buy, is is pretty basic but at a very reasonable price of £85 still very affordable, or if you prefire a more traditional round face the Moto 360 is worth looking at also available is the Sony SmartWatch 2, the LG G Watch or the quirky Microsoft Band, but this is not what I would really call a smartwatch.

Not cheap but not the dearest

The reason I went for the Samsung was first and foremost it looked good, it has many cool watch faces and after I had sold a couple of unwanted things on ebay I managed to raise the £299 needed

Samsung brings something new to smartwatches, with a rotary bezel clicking this bezel lets your navigate features such as reading long text, zooming in on maps or skip music tracks quickly and conveniently without obstructing the watch face. it also has a
touchscreen, and home and back buttons.

Lots of goodies

Some of the other features include

  1. A stainless steel body
  2. Corning Gorilla Glass watch face
  3. Water resistant finish
  4. Customizable watch face
  5. Interchangeable watch bands.
  6. Intuitive circular UX
  7. Complete health monitoring functionality
  8. Track your daily activities including
  9. Heart rate
  10. Steps taken
  11. Calories burned
  12. Water vs caffeine intake

All via S health or Nike+ Running App

Good looking with a three day battery life

With a battery life of up to three days, it is one of the best on the market so to say I am pleased with my new smartwatch is an understatement.

So do any of you have a smartwatch and if so what make and how do you get on with it?

I love Samsung smartphones. I am planning on getting a television from Samsung in the near future.

Great review of the smart watch.
