Three types of roses are on display with basic notes on each one. Plus, I'll give you a few ideas for decorating, cooking and otherwise enjoying your rose garden.

Knock Roses

Knock Out Roses are lovely and they grow many on one bush. They prefer to have their roots watered and spray not the leaves as these are very sensitive. In fact, a hearty rain can't compare to this method. Take gentle care and you'll enjoy blooms up until the first frost.

Don Juan Rose

As the name implies, this is a romantic rose. It's probably less fragile than the Knock Out although it does require occasional maintenance and regular watering. In return, you'll enjoy years of pleasure with these darling treasures.

Miniature Roses

The Miniature Rose is a delightful small flower and the plant produces quite a few of these tiny buds. They're perfect if you wish to have lots of them growing in small space. They're available in an array of hues including bright red. You can grow pink and yellow roses next to each other for a yellow flower with pink around the edges. They are simply gorgeous! We haven't had this happen with the other two types of roses we grow, but it might be possible if you do your research.

The Multi-Purpose Flower

All these roses will come back year after year. This makes a prime investment for your landscape. Roses are my favorite flowers for a variety of reasons. They're full of surprises for one thing. Did you know they're edible and chalked full of vitamin c? Make a cake and after you ice it adorn with real rose petals. It's not necessary to remove them before slicing and digging in. Yum. Yum.

Note, all rose petals are edible although some types taste better than others. The fruit of the plant called, rose hips are also edible although it may be best not to eat these raw.

Stay cool this summer with this handy tip. Fill a spray bottle with water and petals from a fresh rose. Now, you have a handy spritz through-out the day. Use it to freshen up your face when you're feeling exhausted or try it around your house in place of store bought air fresheners. You can spray it in your hair as well if you want to liven up your day and add a handsome scent with extra shine to your mane. I'm sure you can think of many ways to enjoy rose water at home and in the office.

When you have a rose you will never be short on accessories or decorations. Attach a single flower to a hair clip and there you go. When you grow your own roses, you can easily display them all over your place adding charm and glamour to any room instantly.

The rose grows in gardens worldwide. Beauty and romance are at your finger tips, my friend when you keep this lovely flower within reach.
