Sabudana khichadi is one the most common breakfast in the Maharashtra India. It can be served as snacks or even a one dish meal to get change out of the typical routine. Sabudana khichadi is a very tasty, traditional and easy to prepare dish loved by people of all the ages.
Sabudana Khichadi
• Preparation Time: 20 Mins.
• Serves: 3-4 persons
Ingredients:
• 2 cups sabudana (sago)
• 1/4 cup peanuts
• 2 Potatoes boiled
• 1/2 tsp cumin seeds (Jeera)
• 3 chopped green chillies
• 1 tbsp ghee or Oil
• 2 Potatoes (Optional)
• 1 tsp lime juice
• Salt and sugar to taste.
Recipe:
• Wash sabudana in a strainer and soak for 3-4 hours in 1/4 cup of water.
• Roast the peanuts and grind.
• Boil 2 potatos, cut them into pieces.
• Mix ground peanuts with sabudana.
• Heat ghee in a pan and add cumin seeds (Jeera) after they crackle, green chillies. After a few seconds add boiled potatoes, sabudana mixture and cooked potatoes. Add salt and sugar.
• Cook on medium heat for about 5 minutes stirring all the time.
• Do not cover.
• Add lime juice.
Garnish:
Garnish with chopped coriander leaves
