We are no closer to understanding the mysteries of creation despite the scientific progress. Our society is polarized as it was right from the beginning; we are compartmentalized in every way despite sharing the very essentials for our existence. Unraveling the mysteries of creation can help us towards coexistence.

Oneness of Creation

We have been around for thousands of years. Initially we took baby steps but now the pace of change is scorching, even disconcerting. We have to watch every step as progress is closely followed by destruction, sort of breathing down our necks! We are managing to douse the flames at the nick of time, keeping at bay those that can set us back to Stone Age. And some could well use them if given a chance, talk of itchy fingers! In fact, the minority gets empowered more and more with an innate desire to kill even innocents to bring the majority to their knees. Even those who believe in afterlife with their God in paradise would like to make a grand entrance with blood dripping from their hands! Do our beliefs back such a lifestyle – the majority says no, they are full of forgiveness, compassion, tolerance and all the qualities that are anathema to injustice. Some would even like their Gods to step in and prove once and for all that theirs is the mightiest! But Creator is one and the same for all practical purposes and He is not going to side with anyone! After all, don’t we share the air we breathe to survive and the divine energy that drives the whole process and we are not even aware of the intricacies. Our Creator’s reach is everywhere; so there cannot be more than one marking their territories!

Majority should Assert

Why then few feel the itch for destruction, live a life of intolerance, even when they are devout for outward appearances. In fact, they invoke their God’s name to kill others; I will rather say - put the blame on Him for all practical purposes! The aim is killing and their excuse is belief. When the majority within their fold does not want to invite attention upon them, the killers write their own writ, agenda; it is the tyranny of the minority over the majority. Unless the change emanates from within nothing much can result How much we can rely on our security forces if we look the other way? The moment the majority rises to put their foot down – enough is enough - the situation will automatically change with positiveness trumping injustice and tyranny.

Mysteries of Creation

The unraveling of the mysteries of creation could help us, but is it within our ability? The thrust to drive home why we are here can happen when we take the next stage in our awareness. Now few feel they can get away with murder as the consequences of their actions are hidden. According to me, following are among the mysteries that have to be solved.

Birth and Death: We think of afterlife, but what about before coming here? Both riddles have to be solved incontrovertibly. Of course, that is no mean task and could prove well beyond our capability. That is truly humbling to think about.

Life: What is the overall meaning in life? I feel we should not be overly concerned as along as we do part as co-creators. Let us enjoy the spread that is before us everywhere with never a dull moment.

Body, Mind and Soul: How to balance the three so that we find harmony. Looks like other species do not worry about such, but we do even subconsciously. We have to nourish the three so that they balance to give us a life of meaning.

Alien Life: That really has never been far away from our minds. There you see it but then don’t! Some are termed as hallucinating when they speak of seeing objects floating about and moving at high speed, then disappearing. Can we get a break-through in the near future?

Solving Mysteries Elusive

It is clear we are hardly there with regard to the basics that mystify us. We are no wiser than our forefathers on these basics that fascinate us. When we get a crack on few of them the pieces should fall in place for an inclusive ride. We will then know who we really are and that nothing much differentiates except our outward appearance. A breakthrough is badly needed before we tear ourselves apart. Though our beliefs should unify us as they are based on peace and coexistence, few cannot accept others as equal due to their intolerance – a base and repulsive human behavior. And they manage to drag the majority reluctantly into needless conflicts and soon the battle lines are drawn. This self-destruction may well have meaning and substance in the creative process if individuals are mere cogs in the giant wheel. But can we not rise above the din? Do we expect some hand-holding to help us out of the vicious cycle? Believers think time is ripe, but our forefathers over generations thought likewise. In what way are we different? In fact, we are expected to learn from history, and we are proving indifferent students to practice what we know is the right way. So it looks a tough call that we are anywhere near to solving the basics of life and death! But some form of intervention is in the offing according to me.

The science of creation is beyond the comprehension of humans. We are limited. Our science says nothing about the extreme conditions that created the first microseconds of the universe. Such a place and time are domains of the mind, conditions we can only imagine, never mind measure, calculate, or model. All of which is why they remain mysteries, hence unsolvable in reality, perhaps solvable ONLY in our own minds.

Thanks LeRain for your take. I think even great scientists, including Einstein, acknowledge the limitations of our scientific inquiry.

We feel sort of a caged bird within our body, orphaned, destitute, when here though most are welcomed with love and affection, even treasured.

Yes, the mind gives hints and also our dreams reflect our sub-conscious mind. I really wonder how much few enlightened know - do they know more than they care to reveal with a take others will not be able to comprehend?

What do other species know about creation; do they think why they are born to be at the mercy of human species?

There should be some deeper meaning to creation and our existence - siva

Siva, you can never die peacefully knowing that you were wrong. They "pounced on him and disarmed him" and a big BIG disaster was averted.
Yet how do you add up in the equation? In a very absurd manner! Childish maybe that makes you reach for cosmic heights! Don't worry I won't tell anyone.

Thanks Snerfu, we have always reached for the moon, now further beyond. I recall the time when children looking at the moon would exasperate their mothers with "I want that ball now"!

The day we stop wondering wondering about the possibilities, lose the spirit of inquiry, that is the day we are no more the "mighty human" to lord over others.

We can see and touch few but others we can only see in wonder. They are kept in pristine condition till we get there of our own accord.

Our Creator wants us to prove before guiding us to the next level though he does that even now when we breathe our last here, hopefully! siva

It is indeed the will of God that guides the believers though today we have many who simply profess faith for the attractive benefits that go along with belief.

But I detract, I do think money has a simplicity that does not think beyond the immediate here and now.

Maybe that is nice...but it certainly is not god.

Thanks Snerfu for your revisit. I have heard few telling "Money is God" because it has great reach. And some make a grand entrance even in places of worship expecting attention.

We should keep our possessions as a trust so that society benefits. I appreciate the lead that Bill Gates has taken to touch as many lives as possible than not knowing what to do like many others, and those who inherit find the wealth as more of a liability.

Our Creator is present in His creations and let us not try to deceive Him even like few try to do. Our intentions matter - siva

Thanks Carol for your take.

Quite humbling if we will never be privy to the fundamentals of the creative process. Being human we have the thirst to know more and for me that could also put in place few who try to outguess the creative process and want their writ to run as the only truth.

I feel the mysteries will start to unravel when we are ready to accept the inherent truth of creation and that could be one hell of a game changer and that is an understatement! siva

Great thoughts. Yet human beings will have to make a big effort to forego mundane thoughts of ego inflating conquests and competition and focus on cooperation not only within countries but across.

And perhaps a mass movement across countries and continents!

Thanks Ptrikha for your response.

Yes, as long as we fall prey to arms merchants by filling their coffers when the majority has to survive on one meal a day, we have never learned the lessons. As Gandhi said - an eye for eye make the whole world blind! We can still be at the cutting edge of technology without killing others for whatever reason.

The writing is on the wall as to the direction to take for a better world; it is up to us, one can only take a horse to the pond - siva

There are tons of promises, which will take billions of years to prove. The worst thing is to point the finger at others and say: you are wrong.

Thanks Poh Tiong Ho. Like everyone who ever lived, I like to know what others know; or they know something which they do not want to reveal for some reason. I know one thing for sure though - those who say others are wrong with their beliefs do not know much (anything)!

But we know one thing - the right from wrong (tap our conscience)! siva

I guess you talk here for the "common" man siva.

"It is clear we are hardly there with regard to the basics that mystify us."

Some uncommon people along the way have claimed to know more than these basics, and at least one of them really did so, if we can believe that Jesus walked on water, and did other things like that besides.

Others have tried to boast about their own knowing too.

Many Indian masters and gurus have their followers worship them as "Godmen".

Perhaps these so-called Godmen have lost touch with the basics though, and live with their heads in the clouds.

Yes Ptrikha, many want shortcuts, miracles, in life as the easy way out whereas the Creator has given us a sumptuous spread to live the moments at leisure.

We have to enjoy the ride but when we have no focus these Godmen come into the picture. Once you put your head in, not easy to take out - so better to watch the steps - siva

Thanks Spirited, we badly need a dose of spirituality as the previous ones have sort of run its course with due apologies to few.

It is now a cynical world with common citizens taken for a ride with politics becoming a theater of the absurd in some countries at least. The politicians are the biggest actors and the show goes on 24/7 at the cost of the common man!

Regarding miracles, it is becoming a bit tough as hidden cameras expose props, but I do agree some were the real deal; so no question of casting aspersions.

Regarding Godmen etc., we cannot emulate them as we have families to live with, so have to stay rooted to the ground level!

I am just curious to know more about those that mystify us so that we can put in place some who use their beliefs as a weapon to terrorize the majority into submission; sort of being in hotline with God! siva

Siva, Another fascinating post as always. Some say we are not meant to know but I think we are meant to keep on looking and searching. The answers are within us and someday we will know, but a child must learn to walk before he climes a mountain. I suspect all children can remember past lives or where they were before coming here, but most have forgotten before they can communicate it to others. Some have been able to do that and some has been documented. We will also interact with beings in other parts of the universe but only when we are ready for that encounter. Blessings.

Thank you Kingwell for adding value to my post through your take, appreciated. We are indeed kindred spirits as our thoughts veer towards the same wavelength though we live poles apart! And as I always say that shows the oneness of humanity.

Now people just hijack their beliefs to suit their convenience. I quote a 12 year -old girl, who was raped by an ISIS fighter " I kept telling him, 'It hurts, please stop.' He told me that according to Islam, he is allowed to rape an unbeliever. He said that by raping me, he is drawing closer to God"!

So we need another eye-opener with regard to what life is about!

I think our subconscious mind is communicating with us but we are not letting the message come through; yes, sort of one can only take a horse to the pond but cannot make it drink! siva

Thanks ~ again ~ Siva for sharing your practical wisdom and insight.

There surely is a deeper meaning to creation and our existence. In making a genuine effort to
possibly add value to your article, please allow me to share points about these mysteries that are found in Our Creator's Wonderful Book of Teaching on Life and Love. You wrote:

"Body, Mind and Soul: How to balance the three so that we find harmony. Looks like other species do not worry about such, but we do even subconsciously. We have to nourish the three so that they balance to give us a life of meaning." I say YES.

There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. Galatians 3:28

To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. Colossians 1:27

And He said to them, “To you it has been given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God; but to those who are outside, all things come in parables. Mark 4:11

And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifested in the flesh, Justified in the Spirit, Seen by angels, Preached among the Gentiles, Believed on in the world, Received up in glory. 1 Timothy 3:16

To me, who am less than the least of all the saints, this grace was given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ,
and to make all see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the ages has been hidden in God who created all things through Jesus Christ;
For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Ephesians 3:8-9, 14

the mystery which has been hidden from ages and from generations, but now has been revealed to His saints. Colossians 1:26

Blessings to you.

Thank you Helen, I appreciate your comments and for adding value to my post. You have really put your heart and soul into it, appreciated.

I was wondering aloud why, despite our scientific and technological advances, we are unable to coexist despite knowing the consequences.

I have tried to understand all beliefs and they all profess peace as the bottom line; but few create a frenzy to highlight some portions and incite others. I personally believe our Creator has given us wisdom and would leave us at that and to bear the consequences, be hoisted by our own petard!

Nature, we share, including the air we breathe, so no question of many Gods marking their territories - if we ignore the basics then it is our own choice - siva

Dear Siva, I think a lot of mysteries of life exist in our minds that cannot be solved. Mysteries like life and death, how our mind works, how our body works, civilisations how they evolve etc etc are all imaginary, because life itself is a "sleeping and a forgetting".

Thanks for this philosophical take dear Subra.

I wrote to pick the brains of dear friends as to what they think about life and death. Of course, beliefs are a relief but we are given an inner knowing and no harm in sharing them.

I wrote life is a dream and is not the real deal, but then we feel the pain and the sufferings in a real manner and cannot sleep them off! We are given many a jolt along our way, tough to ignore.

Hopefully, our path is better off elsewhere; but if here as another species we have to content with few Satan in the form of a species called human! Sorry about calling a spade just a spade! siva

Dear Siva ...sorry so late in responding ..
As you are aware , my faith rests in God alone and in His mighty works .
I may not understand all He has and still is doing in the spiritual as well as the natural realm , but this one thing I completely believe ..
Genesis 1 verse 1 which says ...' In the beginning GOD created the heavens and the earth .
That is enough for me , and one day I shall be in the third heaven with Him as ( Father, Son and Holy Spirit ) with His heavenly angels , and with all who have believed on Him and are in Heaven now .
God bless you with all understanding dear friend.

Thanks dear Stella, I know your steadfast belief but I was trying to pick the brains of some who might have had some personal experiences and thoughts.

Every belief talks about the basics though few twist them to suit their selfish agenda like what is happening in the world.

My beliefs are reflected in what I am, what I do, and I try to follow "the hands that serve are nobler than the lips that pray" though both are needed.

I always appreciate your support and understanding - siva
